  • First day at court

    Hi everyone,
What a day and so many cock ups. The niece acusing my husband has added two more counts to her claim, it's took her four years to decide that she remembers two more times. Yet it's been acceptable to do that?
Then there was loads of disputes about whether to use the written statement because there was so much abusive language on the video. (shows what type of person were healing with).
We were there at 9.30 this morning and didn't get started until 3.30pm the jury was sworn in and then one of the woman said to the judge, ("will I be alright on the jury, cos I've been in a similar situation"), nothing was said so now he could have a woman that's against him from the start.
    Can that happen?
Then that was it end of the day, nothing done. We saw the niece outside, she was with her husband and a friend. They had jeans on, a t shirt hoody jacket and trainers. Very smart for court!
Half the stuff we handed in to the solicitor and his then secretary, (who is no longer with them.) and the barrister hasn't got anything we handed in. So now I need to prepare a short version of the info again. This is not on but it's too late to complain.
Gonna have some tea now and de stress.
Will be more to fill you in with tomorrow
    Till then thanks all
    Hol

Hi Hol. Keep strong !! the lady on the jury who said she had been in a similar situation could
work to your advantage as she has an insight of the offence and may just see through your FA'ers lies. I will be around all week if you need emotional support so feel free to pm me if you need. LP

I think someone that has been though a trail would be good on the jury. I know my own past helps me to really see the women that jump on the band wagon. She may be the accusers down fall.

I hope your legal team get their act together. Fingers crossed for second day.

Good luck for today Hol (and Mr Hol). Will it be your turn today? How are you getting on with the hanging around? I found the court staff to be really friendly and helpful, hope yours is the same.

Keep you faith and courage up.
                  All the best

I'm not sure your barrister has to accept this, I think he/she can insist the video is shown.
It would be better all round (including for the sake of fairness) to make sure her video evidence is used. If she swore on it, that's her problem.

                    Keep your spirits up

Just got in and I'm going to relax in the bath.
They've been laughing and the video, yes, they played the video of the first niece. Taking it one at a time.
She was putting her feet up on the table and slouching and looked like she was watching tv.
I didn't see any of this cos I was in the foyer with my daughter, were witnesses good balance today
                        Thanks for your support

                            Hey!

                            Thank you.
I hope I'm not smiling too soon. But it was rubbish. She couldn't answer a single question right.
She kept changing her mind and lies are starting. Looks like it's going into next week though
                            Thanks again

                              So far so good

Well today it all started at 10.30am. My husband was straight in and the rest followed.
They watched the video which was good. And then cam out for a break. Then went back in till dinner
Back in again after lunch and that was it till 4.30
Our barrister pulled some good questions out and left her shaking till tomorrow.
I'm shattered now will speak tomorrow
