  • So hurt and angry

Well , crown court today and the judge very quietly agreed with the prosecution that there was no evidence in the case against my son, and he then said "yes yes we will enter a not guilty verdict" , well if you had of blinked you could have missed it, no apology , no explanation ,nothing he said you are free to go ,gave us £200 for compensation for travel costs incurred and that was that.
I mean ! Of course I'm happy , of course I am but surely there should be more of an explanation to my son ,not to the judge, after a whole year of this nobody sees fit to give a good reason why they went with this cock and bull story in the first place , what made them change their minds?
I have already had bananas so I don't expect anymore ,but I do quite like the little guys if anybody's feeling generous ( it keeps me happy )
Thanks again everyone for kind, helpful and heartfelt messages .
And to anybody still suffering walk tall and believe in yourself .

I'm so pleased for you - it seems such an anti-climax after the turmoil doesn't it?

And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

It's very weird the way this works, in my case 2 judges said their was no case and were both ignored. A week before trail the CPS informed the witnesses that they were not required as they were not going to present any evidence against me (never bothered to tell me) and at my final court day the Judge asked for a written explanation from the CPS why they put an inocent man in his court ????.
The arogant Bast***s wrote back effectively saying he was guilty but we could not prove it.
Unfortunatly I am like a dog with a bone and won't go away so this will continue for some time.

I am so happy you finally got the right result.

So hurt and angry - the final nail in the coffin of your ordeal, hopefully. You must be so elated, but I can understand the feelings of NO JUSTICE! We all hope this can be turned on its head , and the FA can understand a little of what we have been going through, by being investigated themselves. But this rarely seems to happen. They carry on with their lives (maybe with a large sum of money) to help! Whilst we are left to feel grateful that "they" decide we have no case to answer, despite losing out financially, emotionally and physically , with no help whatsoever. I was phoned up the other day (whilst I was trying to sleep after a night shift), by this woman from the witness programme, or whatever. She spoke in such a quiet and gentle voice explaining that they would be in touch about what dates I (and my son ) would not be available for a court case. She seemed so nice, that it was only after I had put the phone down, I thought to myself - "she must think I am a witness for the prosecution, when I am actually a witness for the defence - ie - my husband!" Should I phone her back and put her right? I talked about it with my family and we decided she must mean me and my son and must know who we are.. My point being, that since this has started, we have been treated like criminals, SHE has been treated like a victim, we have (in my opinion), been harrased by the police, had no back up or advice (apart from this site), my husband has gone through hell, and all of a sudden this woman (I know she is nothing to do with the police or CPS)is being nice to me!
I think so many of us get scared, and get used to being treated as if we are guilty, that when "they" condescend to say - we have no evidence against you -just carry on in your own sweet way, we DO feel grateful to them, and just carry on. The FA has no comeback, but all the support in the world. Sooo wrong! Anyway, congratulations!
