Have you got/looked into a good legal team?
i will gather as much as evidence i can. i have read the accuser statement, which police gave me in the first interview. i point out about 6 lies and she lied so much. so i will not totally relay on my legal team. i will gather evidence and give them to make my case more strong.
my solicitor previously said few times, he thinks it will be NFA. he said, he was even shocked as well.
can you any one tell me, what will happened tomorrow and further a head? will they tell me what evidence they have and they charged me on what basis and evidence??
who will give me a barrister or do i need to find it myself?
i was really happy that i applied for masters and university has offered me a place and now this case going to ruin my this year as well.

Tomorrow,you will only have to go to the police station to sign your charge sheet and the police will give you the Miranda warning:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention, when questioned, something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
The police won't give you anything else but soon after your solicitor will get the final disclosure.
You wrote that you read the the accuser's statement during the first interview,unfortunately the police usually go back to the FA with your side of the story and then she is able to change hers.
You shouldn't have to worry about searching for a barrister,your solicitor will do it for you.
Further ahead you will get the final discosure and you must ask your future solicitor to get the unused bundle.
You will have to do some homework and peel the statements from the girl,the police,...
Find all lies,all inconsistencies,mistakes,...

Hi Stressed Out, you do not deserve this, as so many of us do not, but now you must keep strong and fight your corner. You have been left with no other option. Follow the advice of the wonderful people on here, get a good legal team, and be prepared to FIGHT to prove your innocence. Good luck!

This is a good point BDC and for the sake of continuity and for the benefit of members who have just joined and for anyone who will come along in the future I have merged the threads so that Stressed out's full story is easily available to follow.
As Stressed out has emphasized, he had no contact with the girl so it will be interesting to see what charges are brought and so what he will have to defend.
i just come back from police station, they have charged me with two things
1) aided and abetted, counselled procured, an other person to intentionally penetrated the vagina of a girl 15 with his penis when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.
REPLY, i said, i was outside for 8 mins and i don't think, rape can happen or i think it can't happen.
2) child abduction ( contrary section 2(1)(a) and 4
REPLY , i said, i read the girls statement, she said she was fearful and that's a lie
so that's the two charges ( aiding and abetting rape) and ( child abduction) they put on me.
the other guy, they charged him with rape, sexual activity ( fingering) and child abduction. i spoke to him, he said, how it is possible when he did not had no sex with her. he only took oral for less then 30 sec.
don't know on what basis they charged us.
they gave us a magistrate date which is next week and going to see my solicitor this week.
they've charged you on the evidence given and you've admitted to - she was underage.

yeah your right, glad your remember everything, its been like 7 months. they both were kissing and hugging so 100% it was consensual. everything started when he got angry and told her to leave
Second:Your friend told you she was underage but you believed she was older and didn't know until he told you.
yeah I found out when she walked off. recently i spoke to him and he said, she said she go to college and when he asked, what course she studying then she said, she is lying and in school. that's why mate told him to get off and that. but that time, he only said, she is lied about her age. when she went, she was proper angry

i am looking for a good solicitor and i come across this firm called gray and co solicitor, i emailed them and after 10mins, they called and a chat about 45mins about my case and he think, i have a strong case but i also mailed few others as well and they have replied. they all seems to be working in sexual offence cases and telling me, they have dealt with them.
gray and co solicitors said, right now, they are dealing with some rape case at the moment, etc. he said, if we take this case, we will check all the forensic evidence police got, all interview tapes, girl history and then we make a proper case and he said, he know some good barrister as well. so don't know, should i go with them?

i called chris Saltrese solicitors and spoke to chris. and told him about my case.
he don't do legal aid but he suggested me to go to Burton Copeland in Manchester, the solicitor he suggested is Louise straw.
i did some research about the firm and the solicitor, they good and plus you always says, Chris Saltrese are really good so if they suggested it then i am sure, Louise Straw be brilliant.
i am going to magistrate court on Tuesday morning, can anybody tell me, what can i expect there??
