At the moment there's not a fat lot a solicitor can do. However, do get in touch with one who does legal aid. When Rights Fighter comes on, she may know of a solicitor in your area.
But, the solicitor is only paid for the police station visits so anything they do other than that will be through goodwill. Any evidence you gather, give to your solicitor. Do not speak to the police unless you speak to your solicitor.
If your wife contacts you in any way shape or form, screen shot it (look at the thread on the forum about taking screenshots if you don't know how) and save them on a seperate memory drive/stick, which I advise you to store in a secret place and give a copy to your solicitor.
You may well not be charged. Take this in small steps. Many people worry about trials/prison etc now...it's too early to think that far ahead when it might not even get there.
Often cases are NFA'd,often they are not.
But take comfort in the fact that IF you are charged, you will get far more information to pull apart than you currently do.
Look after yourself.
