I've recently been working on an appeal where the judge threw the case out after a submission of no case to answer. The Crown appealed the acquittal and got a retrial in which our man was convicted.

One a few years back had two hung juries. He was convicted at the third trial. However they jury foreman made a mistake and gave the wrong majority figures. That was successfully appealed and there was no retrial called. The prosecutor was big enough at the end of the appeal to shake our man's hand and said that this was the correct result.
