I have re-read your original posting and, given the huge discrepancy in dates, am very surprised that you have been charged.

However I'm pleased you are feeling positive about the forthcoming trial and your barrister sounds to be an absolute gem as she will ensure your judge doesn't slip up anywhere!

Hi shattered, sorry to hear that you were charged even with those unthinkable gaping holes in the story of the accusers. You are right this is the time to fight.
I am sure your defense will find a good strategy to fight such inconsistent stories.

We just won our case with liars who have inconsistent stories, no evidence against my partner except there were opportunities to do it.. RF call it scraping the barrel already

Take care of yourself and your family. Stay strong. The jury will hopefully see through the lies!! Send pm if you have any questions .. my partner's case is historical going back 14 to 17 years ago.

Welcome back shattered, glad you were able to rejoin.
It sounds like you have confidence in your barrister which is hugely important.
Your solicitor now should be in the process of obtaining disclosure, including that all important unused bundle.

The fact that you are finding so many discrepencies before full disclosure is hugely positive...you will find more and your barrister, with experience in these cases, will come up with things you had never considered.

It's been a very long road for you...by the time you reach trial it will have been 2 years...but by then, you will be ready to blow this sh!t apart!

Keep coming back for support...as you know very well by now, you will have good and bad days.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and support. Even though we are feeling very positive, there is always that what if? Running around in my head, and I do have the odd panic attack, with full blown palpitations and everything, but I know I must stay strong for the sake of my family. Hopefully the jury will see straight through the leeches lies and that will be that. Only I don't think it will. Can anyone ever live a normal life after something like this?

Btw the police re interviewed the leeches re the dates and it turns out that they were mistaken because they were also abused by another man around those dates. Yea right. This also led to allegations being made against another man. So sad!!!

if they brought up another allegations; this could work for you. our accuser had two previous false allegations and this was put forward to the jury. Draw strength in the fact that their stories are so absurd, it will make it easier for the jury also.
There will always be the WHAT IF, even to the day of the trial. We even felt we were going to lose on the second day of the trial; but the jury were thinking and our defense team is good. Hopefully you are confident with your defense team also.

Stay strong; practice being confident about your case; you would need to feel calm and firm when you give your evidence. :-)

Welcome back WM/Shattered. I'm sorry to hear this has proceeded to charge. However, trying to put it in a positive light, it means that you get the chance to expose them for the nasty little liars they are in a court of law.
They have made further allegations about another person?! Incredible. Has this person also been interviewed and charged? As Fighter said, it could work in your favour. The more outlandish the lies, the more difficult it will be for them to remember what they have said. How could they have confused you with another abuser, especially as they went to so much trouble to point out your "identifying features" in their initial interview.
I'm very glad you have faith in your legal team.
Please keep us posted on any progress.
Just a thought - perhaps your wife might like to join this site as well. Supporting those FAd is every bit as mentally and physically exhausting as being accused.

I will mention it to my wife and she can decide if she wants to join.

As far as the other accused goes, there is nothing so far to suggest he has been traced, arrested or charged. I guess time will tell. There is more to add, which makes this even more incredible to believe but that would identify me if plod were looking so I won't for now.

Hello all
Firstly just want to say that although I check in now and again to get updates on other people's cases, I rarely have time to post, for which I apologise. Fortunately social services are allowing me to stay at home with my family which keeps me very busy. Also being so busy allows me to push this terrible ordeal to the back of my mind and concentrate on spending quality time with my kids. We also just found out we are expecting again :-).

Anyway I just came on to say that I have now had a chance to read that transcripts of the false accusers and have also done my defence statement. So it is now just sit back and await my day in court. I know I keep saying this but after reading the transcripts, which by the way is the only evidence against me I am even more dumbfounded as to why it has gotten this far!! I hope and pray that come the day I will show them all up for the scum they are.
