      Didn't the police asked your father if he was feeling comfortable to discuss in english and offered him the opportunity to have a translator?

      If not your solicitor's advice was right to suggest "No comment".

      Every case is different.

      (The case I watched:English was the accused mother tongue).

      I made a few mistakes when I talked to the police and they tried to help themseleves but my barrister and the judge stressed this point.

      Just a single "quid pro quo" and...
