Can't say too much as this is a public forum. It seems quite positive at the moment but then we have to rely on the jury to have more than half a brain cell between the lot of them. Verdict could be tomorrow at the very earliest but more likely Friday (Thursday is a day off).

I've just spoken to fighter. Apparently the jury will be deliberating on Thursday morning so I've had to suggest they take the 'nasty bag' just in case it goes horribly wrong. If it does we will be here to support them both - if it goes the right way we'll be here to celebrate with them!

Had a text from fighter before they went in this morning, saying the the sol thought the matter might proceed quickly and that they may start deliberating today, so she's taken the precaution of taking the 'nasty bag' with her.

Everything crossed that they won't need it today, tomorrow or any other day....

or maybe she can use it to run away together for the weekend instead.



can you just clear something up
if people are found guilty do they get sentenced there and then or do they go back a few weeks later for a sentence

Nice idea re the bag but it will only have stuff for him to use in it.

To answer your question, it depends on the judge. He or she can order for them to be sent down straight away on remand while they consider the PSR (Pre Sentence Report) or they might allow bail for a PSR - or they might sentence there and then. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Sending them down straight away before the PSR means that that time is taken into account as time already served when it comes to sentence.
