George...you can understand our concerns when a person new to the forum posts up a sudden offer of help on a particular case without explanation. Now you have explained your story a bit, then that helps obviously. Generally, people on the forum share their story and receive, as well as give, support.

Thanks for joining and your help of offering support to the community. I wish you success in your action against the police...this is a tough route that often bears no fruit but I salute you for trying. If there's any way we can help, please post.

Mia...it is very typical of the CPS to drag their heels. If they are still not forthcoming with the vital evidence, Max and Emma may consider requesting an adjournment. It will begin to get intense for you in the run up to the trial but remain strong. As you have seen from the spate of positive results on here (daki, worriedandconcerned, marinarz etc), often justice IS served.

Out of interest, where is the case being heard?

            Hi Mia
            Just to let you know.

I was in similar situation. CPS have dvd which supported my version (the so called ''victim'' drove her car with me inside to the petrol station around 4 hours after alleged ''rape''). On tuesday when my trial suppose to start, prosecution informed us that cps lost the dvd!
            Another thing?
Texts. I was contacting my accuser by texts and by calling her (she was replying for my texts and answering my phone calls). She stated that ther was no contact between us after alleged rape. Prosecution? They ''confirmed''that there was no contact between us after alleged ''rape''. She stated that there was no contact between us before alleged rape! (sorry for not going in to the details now, but somwhere on the forum you can find my story)

They will try to do everything that will convict someone.

If you have anything what you think will support your fiance, then don't show the police.

              - it seems you have you a real rollercoaster of a time - and your input may be of possible use to other members.

You have to remember that this forum is an open one and we know that plod keeps an eye on it from time to time - so we are wary of all newcomers.

I hope you haven't been put off.

Some people who have gone through their own trial believe this makes them experts on everything to do with this sort of case - and I've known some give the worst advice they possibly can - with the best of intentions.

I can understand somebody wanting to help but best to leave the advice to people who know what they are doing - ie the sols and barristers (in most cases!)

                Support is always welcome here.

As RFLH said this is an open forum and anybody could be reading and posting who are from the accusing families or police/CPS. So if somebody who has not posted up their stories as to why they are here and what happened to them, offers their help, obviously it is a point for concern.

                  Hi George and welcome
Just thought I would mention that it might be worth you starting a new thread detailing a little about your experiences (nothing that will identify you - as other have said this is an open forum!)
Support is always welcome. Advice is good too! However most people who come here are hugely inexperienced when it comes to dealings with the police/CPS and they tend to take any offers of advice as gospel. That's why we have to be very viligant

Hi Mia, I hope your doing well. I remember myself being in the same situation as your partner a few years ago, so maybe I can help in some way.

God willing you will be celebrating in 6 weeks, but in the meantime for yourself you should keep positive and supportive people around you. People that make you feel good, that are sensitive to your thoughts and hearts concerns. A hug honestly helps alot, and you have to let out some the emotions you feel, so a good cry with your parents or a friend is a massive release of tension.

Your partner is in the same position as I was 4 years ago, he is in deep thinking. He needs to change his frame of thought from negative to positive. He is snappy from the stress and pressure. One example of how my partner dealt with me when I was like that is, she gave me a hug and told me she loved me, that always stopped me in my tracks.. I always responded by telling her that I loved her back. She got me away from the pressure by taking me to nature spots. We would just walk and talk. The last thing you need when your under so much stress is a noisy cinema! Another thing she would do was to invite good friends for a get together meal once in a while, that helped by bringing fresh faces and conversation into my life again, it helped me by stopping me getting lost in my own head, but it also helped my partner in the sense that she also felt reassured that our friends were on our side.
You know your partner better than anyone, how you go about getting him to appreciate the blessings in life you know best. Let him know you are with him, let him know how much you love him, that is the best possible thing to help him, you be his strength.

                    With love
                    John Falinge

Mia this happened in my brother's case. Our side asked for transcripts of the first interview his accuser gave where she denied any abuse had occurred. We finally got given it 5 mins before we walked into court !! The tape of the first interview was mysteriously damaged so badly it was un-viewable and, the transcript of my brother's first interview was useless as, due to the fact my brother has a strong accent, the transcript had passages which were marked "unable to transcript". Keep fighting to get those records !!

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping you get the verdict you nee to continue your lives. Unfortunately we didn't but, with the help of people from this forum which I thank God I found, we are now beginning the process of building an appeal.

Best of luck with the trial when it comes and stay strong x

It seems to be a recurrent problem.
It took my barrister three months to get the letters I wrote to the police because I was ...enough not to copy them.
He even asked me"Did you really write these letters?".
Finally he got them while we were in court.

Take care Mia and Falinge is right :you must go out.
                          Non,je ne regrette rien.

I completely understand how your husband feels as I am also facing a trial based on lies a decept, the fear that the system that falied to find the truth and is trying to put us in prison is real and tangable. My wife and I no longer talk about "what if" but simply say "when things get back to normal"... we spend our time looking at future holidays, time with the kids and re eveluating whats important and how we are going to walk away from this stronger, better and closer than we have ever been. Please don't allow the fear, frustration and sometimes if I am honest a bit of self pity to dominate your lives. He is INOCENT, I am INOCENT and nothing a jugde or jury can do will ever change that to the people that matter. Stay strong and love each other like a pair of smitten teens.
                            God Bless
