My Story Post NFA-Police being used as a tool

High another day another visit by the men in blue

Ex wife walked past me the other day at school and gave me a right evil glare. I though nothing of it but realised I might not be on her xmas card list this year!

2 Days later a knock on the door I invited police in they said she had logged a call saying I'd breach my non mol order! They said they'd corrected her as it was obvious from her account that I hadn't...

but they did issue me with a Police Information Notice(PIN) saying I'd been harassing her by "Staring"....

I told police they shouldn't of visited and I've asked them to issue a PIN against her for causeing me distress with the repeated visists(she'd imagined previously I'd driven down her street).

The police are being used as a tool by her to get back at me for some slight i might of caused her...

On the positive side I'm not feeling as sorry for her as I did 2 weeks ago.

Hey Yoda, look at it from her point of view

She has thrown everything she can at you, and it's failed. If she is resorting to imagining that you drove down her street, or that you "intimidated" her by looking at her, then she really is clutching at straws. She must be gutted!

Plod will soon tire of these antics. How are you supposed to avoid her at school drop-off/pick-up? They are here to "uphold the law" not to deal with a vengeful, bitter ex. You are the one in the right. Let her throw these petty accusations at you. Plod will soon get bored.

And don't feel sorry for her!

I totally agree.... and I'm feeling strong suprisingly..

But that said i was gutted when police came around so close to kids just going up to bed!

That is good you are feeling strong Yoda. It must be annoying to see those guys on your door. But as Saffron said hopefully they will get tired and bored of her! What a waste of police time though

It must have been distressing for your kids to see Plod at their Dad's door just as they were going to bed. Plod must have known that the kids were at yours at that time, and made sure their visit caused maximum disruption. Your ex might even have told them. Did Plod at least wait for you to out them to bed?
Grr, this makes me so cross! I can't believe anyone would be so vindictive! (although sadly I know that some people are.)

I may of mentioned that to the police last night I was impressed I called police today and asked for details of incident and the officer that had come around had recorded our discussion correctly.

fingers crossed she'll get issued with her notice sometime over weekend!
