    Hello Absolutely Gutted.

I wish I could have helped you before but when you started your thread I had to go to Court a few days after.
I read a usual some really good advice and even smiled about the tape player.

I just want to add that your husband is lucky to have a supporting wife like you.

    You wrote:
My husband did get three very good references though of which at least one is going to be used at trial (probably his boss/friend, a female).
The point of view from a woman witness is powerful and it is a very good point for your husband.

I was pleased to read as well that he had lots of friends and witnesses during this party.
I am sure you too have enough evidence to prove his accuser wrong.

I you want to assist the trial,as Faith stated and all the members who have been to court know.
The first and second days will be the worse.
Your husband will seem to be a monster but don't believe all these lies.
You know and his friends as well that he is not someone like this.

He will have his turn to tell the truth with the witnesses.
Take care and keep faith both of you.
    Non,je ne regrette rien.

      The witness statements:

Your barrister will go through them and choose the bes;if possible from women.
I had more than 10 and he kept only six.
If two witnesses are from the same family,he will take only one.
They must be from relatives who know him from a long time but not from his family.

Three of the witnesses came and stood in court.
Three character references were read to the judge and jury.

Hi Boys don't cry, thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it:-)
I can only imagine how you must have felt so shortly before your trial and I'm so happy for you that it is all over!
Sadly,I am only a spectator...I hope that all of the friends who provided a character reference will have the time to be there to support him in court even though they might not have to take the stand..I hope I can keep it together during the first day when the prosecution presents the case:-/
As you said, he is very lucky to still have me and to be honest, I sometimes ask myself why I'm still supporting him as I am still not over this whole infidelity issue (accusation aside)....the injustice of it all reminds me again tough.
THanks again for your kind words and all the best to you and your son

sorry I've just read your second post...solicitor only requested three references and she said that only one or two are required to stand in court...I would always say the more the better so get all three to stand in court...don;t really understand her (sol) motive there

yeah that's true...I've read all three of them and they are so well written, I thought to myself 'yep, this describes him to the t', I even felt a little relief:-) especially his female boss/friend is so supportive and is more than willing to stand in court. we shall see...

By relatives, I meant people your husband knows.
Please, excuse my french and so many spelling mistakes.

I am a workaholic and my witnesses standing in court were three of my bosses.
                    One of them a woman.

Two of my character reference witnesses were work related women.

                    Take care.

It helps to have supporters in the public gallery too. It won't make any difference to the verdict (or shouldn't) but at least it will show that he has not been abandoned and that people believe in his innocence.

rightsfighter, I was thinking the same...I don't think his colleagues can get time off for every single day of the trial...but if they came for one, how long does a trial day typically last?

Boys don't cry, no worries at all:-)...that must have helped your case a lot to have had those female work mates as references...

Usually from around 10am until 5pm give or take. Often the day ends before 5pm depending on how things progress or if either counsel has to take time away to attend other hearings on other matters.

I just want to say - thinking of you, sending hoping that everything turns out right, that he's so fortunate to have you with him and sending you both
