    • Too right Denise, along with the crystal ball which would have been useful so that we could have seen what was to be in store for us in years to come. xx

Although CPS had already made their decision, looking at the pics and videos I put together IMO really told the true story that we put in our statements xx

        • Did you look into a No Crime, Denise?

          • No Faith but DC told me that the new evidence they supplied contradicted their statements

I reckon police would refuse no crime because they hadn't admitted lying

What's the prOcess for 'no crime' ? Xx

            • Your first port of call would be to run it by the DC. Ask him/her about changing it to No Crime or having the soft information removed from the CRB.

On rare occasions, the DC will look into it, on most, they will probably say it's not worth bothering as it's unlikely.

The next step will be to write to the Chief Constable of the police force involved. They are the one who can make that decision and you just never know if the tone of the letter is right.
It is quite uncommon (but not unheard of) that they will No Crime it for you but it is surely worth a try. All they can say is no.

If you don't know anyone who is good with letters, I will write you one as I do tend to write a decent letter. You would need to PM me some details however.

              • Sorry I haven't replied Faith before now

I will talk this over with my son, I'm still at the moment just soaking up each day with the thought I'll not hear from the police again

I want to do it I'm not just convinced I've had a long enough break from them yet

Good luck with you trying I hope you get it
                Xx

                • That's very natural to want a break Denise. Give it a couple of weeks.
