you are in a good position now.. you are the one in control and not the police.
which is good. i also agree with the others they are def pi..ing in the wind for evidence now which shows their case is not very good .......

    • You're a gem gem !

      • I would be cautiously optimistic right now Denise.
Without getting your hopes up, gem's phrasing of them p*ssing in the wind sounds highly possible.
        Hang in there!

        • I have waves of optimism and then come the lows

But hey, we're all in the same boat here so I'm not saying anything new

Highs and lows are par for the course.
here's hoping that it all ends on a high.

                • Hi Denise,

Hope you are managing to hang in there.
Sounds like you've been given good advice by everyone.

                  • Yes gem, I agree, this advice really needs to come today. This decision from the CPS has been delayed for long enough

Like Izzy says, I hope you're okay Denise. (hugs)

                    • I couldn't call the solicitor at work because customers were in and out
I'm the only one in the office and have to man the switchboard too

So I called immediately I finished work and told the receptionist I need to speak to him and gave her my number and she said he'd left for the day but she'd email him

I worried when I didn't hear back that I may have given my number wrong but he does have it

I will tell her that I haven't put them on a disk yet
                      I haven't felt good today

                      • Sorry you are feeling low today Denise. I’m sure you will feel better once you have spoken directly with the solicitor. How is your son doing with his new puppy? My tactic here is to take your mind off things.
                        Much love. x

                        • I've left 2 messages now for solicitor to call me

DC has just text asking me to call her. Text says sorry to bother at work, please call ASAP, no CPS news but she wants to come tonight to collect photos and videos

I honestly haven't finalised them and got them on cd yet

Once again I'm a bag of nerves

                          • I thought she wasn't going to contact you at work Denise. I'm not surprised you are a bag of nerves!
I would put her off, until you have a chance to speak to the solicitor - they can be hard to get a hold of, our one is often tied up in court till late afternoon.

                            • i agree with izzy, denise ...put her off. tell her you have plans for a few days and you will contact her when you are ready .don,t let her bully you into anything.
ring the sol secretary and ask if you can have his mobile number or is thier not another partner who will talk to you on he phone.
sorry you are feeling a bag of nerves denise im sure things will calm down when you have spoken to someone.

                              • Gem uses the right word when she says bully.
She is trying to put a great deal of unfair pressure on you...you must never hand over anything before the say so of a solicitor.

She sounds very desperate to get this for whatever reason. i hope that it isnt because she thinks she can find something to twist to the prosecutions advantage. It may be the opposite, she may now just be looking for a good enough reason to just get the thing chucked out. Either way, be on your guard, do nothing without solicitor advice. If the solicitor doesn't get back in time, then the woman cant come and collect the stuff tonight.

And she will have to accept that.
                                Stay strong xxxx
