    • Hi Denise

I'm so glad you went ahead with getting the puppy for your son. What breed did you go for in the end? I bet he/she is keeping you all on your feet and your mind slightly off the pending CPS decision.

Did you get a call from the OIC or did you end up having to call her? Did they give any indication how much longer it'll be that you have to wait? We are also still waiting

      xx

      • Yep i agree pets and something to take your mind off it and smile for a moment are brilliant.

        • He got a pug, a little girl called Frankie

He doesn't live with me unfortunately , because of his first apprenticeship he had to move to his dads to be near work , and then I was staying with friends & family when I left the abuser (who also is accusers dad)

I'm off to visit my son and Frankie in a bit

No browneyedgirl , OIC is back on Wednesday, but duty solicitors secretary called me as she promised she would and said they still haven't decided

I'm mentally prepared that it'll be a FA, I feel for you playing the waiting game too

Seeing pics of the puppy is making me really want one but I can't because I work full time but soon he'll be bringing her to stay so she'll have 2 homes xx

          • I just come back from meeting Frankie, she is adorable and cries when she isn't in my sons arms which really pleases him

I asked him how he's back and stomach problems have been & he said he's not thought about them !

I loved seeing him happy. It's been a long time xx

You sound like such a caring and wonderful mother, Denise.
I have no doubt that you and Mr Pug (what's it's name!?!) will be his rocks throughout this

              • It sounds like between the two of you, Frankie is getting all the love and affection a new puppy needs. She is just the job for helping both your son and you. xx

                    • Well Faith, your post actually did make me smile too lol

Browneyedgirl I really wish it was possible to have them at mine to live but it's just not possible but my son has strict orders that once Frankie is settled they have got to start staying over again like he did before he got her xx

But rightfully so, Denise! They're both very lucky to have you
I am fortunate to have a wonderful mother and fiancee through all of this.
Can't imagine what kind of state I'd be in without them.
I'd imagine it's very similar for your son

                        • The one person I've wanted so bad in this is my mum, even for just a hug, but she died nearly ten years ago xx

Don't imagine that pain ever goes away, especially at times like this

                            It's no mother's hug but...

                            • Aw thankyou Faith
No it never goes away but like everything else that life throws at you you have to learn to adapt, I miss our little silly outings but more so she gave the best mum hugs I could've ever wished for

From my experience if you have a fanastastic mum, yes the loss is a bigger blow but knowing you were everything you could be for her kind of gets you through it if you know what I mean xx
