but probably just a caution for the threatening messages and let off on the others.
Ask your solicitor about any evidence you wish to show to the police first.
If the sol says to show the police make sure that they are aware that this is with the solicitor's knowledge so they cannot suddenly "lose", "mislay" or pretend you never gave it to them in the first place.People Appealing Convictions of Sexual Offences ~http://www.pacso.co.uk

same happened to us im afraid. she said she told her friend the day after the rape and showed her bruises very purple and red. and also her brother the day after.
at the trial both witnesses working for prosecution. denied she had told them until some 4 months later and 1 even said the bruises were still visible yellow in fact
the judge put it dawn to trauma on the accusers side she thought she had told them straight afterwards. my son still got guilty.sorry to but doubt on the case just want you to know the facts of how it can go at trial....

Even genuine rape victim would not say in the facebook something about rape. For example, A friend was raped last year by a guy she was in relationship, but her FB status says something else because she would not subject herself to gossips among her FB friends.
Nevertheless it is helpful to have these screen shots as it might be helpful. But dont assume or conclude anything; I dont think the FB statuses are acceptable as evidences unless it is clearly stated. We used FB screenshots but the solicitor went through it carefully.
Calm down. Jackpot is no jackpot unless you win your case :-) The husband of the accuser of my partner, negated the rape told by the accuser in his statement In fact, there was another statement from a police officer saying the accuser said she was raped by a bf before, not my partner. Yet, my partner was charged. You can think through 1000 times over, but the police and CPS might see it differently. And in the end, it is their decision you have to accept.
As most people advise here don't go to the police with your evidences. Keep all your evidences and produce them when it is the right time. Have a solicitor.
Try to go get a normal routine back because it is a waiting game. Everybody will tell you that, the fight begins when you are charged.

From the day my partner was arrested, he was told by the police and through his rebails: "it is rubbish, yes, it should be put in the bin"...all sorts of nice things they can say to my partner; and 10 months on, my partner get charged. As RF had said, she had talked to a lot of innocent people in prison who has been told by the police the allegations are rubbish.
We cant stop you from going to the police. If you believe your police then go, ignore the people here who had bad experiences with the police; maybe and hopefully your police is different from our police :-). I know you emphasized twice already what the police told you. OR you can take the next sensible advise-- go through your solicitor. If you dont trust your solicitor, get a specialist.
Most people wait for the bail and see the decision: if its rebail or NFA.Last edited by fighter; 13 January 2012, 05:42 PM.

opps sorry i didnt answer the question what is the right timing. I dont know the answer to that :-) maybe you can ask the solicitor. All I know in our the solicitor told us to stay put and not to worry about anything unless a decision is made. We have to go through the motions of the process.

From my point of view...
If your ex is saying she left you and hooked up with another guy on the 20th yet your guys had consensual sex on the 23rd I would say that is kind of doubtful.
I would say it gives more credibility to her version.
I don't disbelieve anything you have said so far and I KNOW what you will be going through from my own experience but you need to step back, relax and also consider all information in an unbiased view. Your interpretation could be completely different to everyone elses. My above 'view' is merely indicating how easy it is to turn it round!
Take the screenshots and don't give up until you manage to work it all out in your head, CLEARLY. Gather all your evidence into a lovely pile and sit on it until the Police and CPS decide what they are doing. They may at this point be believing you and then you go turn up with what you believe is more evidence 'clearing' your name but it is actually the 'missing' piece to the jigsaw that they are needing in order to take you to court!
Don't do anything without first passing it by your solicitor. Even a 'normal' solicitor will give you this advice!Wow... A signature option!

Here's what i want to say to the police now, perhaps they'll investigate into her instead? The evidence i have is complete logs and screenshots of her conversations with others, also she told people, i have them as witnesses. This evidence i have cannot be faked.
I have proof, hard evidence that she was planning to leave me since before december 23rd, that's the date of the alledged rape.
She met a guy who lives in france on the internet and all he has done is tell her what she wants to hear, she says he is rich and even has maids in his mansion.. he could be someone trying to lure her in for all i know. She already has tickets bought to goto him.
I have evidence that she officially became in a relationship with this guy in france on the 20th of december, those are her own words "it's official, dec 20th".
Remember she claims i raped her on december 23rd and she left a few weeks later. I'm certain you have her on record saying that she left me because of the alledged rape. She lied on record about that, obviously to make it seem more credible because she knows it never happend.
I also have a lot of evidence of her stating how happy she is during the whole of december and january so far. This woman is not acting like a rape victim in any way. To quote one of the many things she says, and this is on december 24th, the morning after the alledged rape, she says "Merry Xmas to everyone, may all your pressies bring you smiles, kisses and heartful sunshine (heart)".
Does that sound like someone who got raped that last night? She tells a lot of lies, so many that she isn't hard to catch out.
I have witnesses who she told her plans to all throughout december, and they confirm that she was planning to leave me to goto the guy in france as soon as she sold the house, that's all she was waiting for. These witnesses can also confirm that she is a compulsive liar. I also have a witness who she had spoken to about the alledged rape, only she claimed to this person that it happend "the night before" and this was in late december, a week later than december 23rd. She also told a different story to this person to the one she put on record. She claimed that "he wanted to do it, i didn't, but he pushed for it so i just let him do it".Last edited by CM00; 14 January 2012, 08:48 AM.

Remember, i have many logged conversations between myself and my EX all through december and early january. It is very clear that i had no idea that she was planning to leave, which proves i never found out about this secret relationship until after she had left in early january. She is on record admiting this anyway, they can't turn that back on me and say i raped her because she was going to leave or because of this new relationship she formed over the internet.

don.t think the police will do a turn around at this stage they are investigating an allegation of rape which means they will be looking for evidence against you. don.t know about the police where you live ..... they might decide to look at her statements as well. all i can say is, in most cases the police are going to work for the prosecution not the defence. but you never know the screen shots you have may help.speaking for myself and probably most on here. we have been through this ordeal.
and we know how corrupt the police can be to get a prosecution, and how jury regard evidence that is put before them. every trial is different every jury is different. but i do know one thing. a lot depends on your defence team. get the best you can that is experienced in these cases and show him every bit of facebook ect evidence you can, see what he says about it. i hope everything goes in your favour
