Point taken. I always thought there had to be proof before you could be charged but that's obviously not the case.

We were very lucky to have a fair judge, good defense team and thinking jury members. I think once you are charged, you got the chance to do what you can do for your son, make sure the defense team is really good and pray hard for a good judge and good jury.

stressed out
hi.
whatever happened with your son was not good. i always think, forensic and biological evidence is the most important thing in every case but if police didn't find them then wonder why they still charged your son but as he did not do anything, in the end of the say, he is positive and he will be free to go,
your son's story exactly same as my story. i didn't do anything but still accused of rape, even though i didn't even touch the girl. but i really hope truth will come out.

Thank-you for your words of support and encouragement. The trial's in January. The sol has now received all the evidence and is about to go through it all with my son and I shall also be seeing him. He is incedibly firghtened (who isn,t), but luckily I ,ll be seeing more of him in the next few months so will be able to keep more of an eye out on his state of mind etc and get him extra help if he needs it. I feel it's a bit easier now that we are actually getting the case ready, those months of not knowing and not being able to do anything were the worst.

It's good he's got you there for support but don't forget yourself as you'll need some too.

I thought that too - until RF asked me how would I feel if people just came to sit in at my ex's trial 'to see what it was like'? Looked at that way we agreed with her.And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

I must admit I pondered that at one time, but for the reason that RFLH made I didn't think I could do it, I would have found it to uncomfortable. Also as all cases are different I would think it might be quite hard to find one that was relevant to your own.

I agree with RFLH and Izzy.
Not just for the fact that it may be seen as disrespectful to turn up in droves (which it would) but also the fact that it may just serve to worry you all more as you have no idea the bckgrounds of the case and what is going on behind the scenes
If a guilty verdict was reached for example, you may be panicked and feel hopeful. But it could well be the case that in the trial you were seeing someone who actually did commit the crime"Be sure your sin will find you out"
