  • A year on

    Hi guys,

It's been a year now since I was accused, and 6 months since I was NFA'd.
I'm still so very angry. As some will know I've have lost financially beyond belief due to losing my company and career over this. I thought I'd feel better by now and do a bit I guess but I'm still thinking about it every day and still so annoyed. Does it go away eventually ?
Plus I read a couple of posts that say the accuser may get £11000 even if case doesn't go anywhere (because it's false) I would be so mad if this girl got cash out of it, how can I find out if she did?

Also has anyone on here sued for deformation? I understand it will be almost impossible to win such a case, but if I can know that such a case will cost her lots of money on sol's then I want to do it regardless of costs to me. RF could you advise at all on this please?
    Many thanks

if you try to sue for defamation and lost you would have to pay her costs as well. You would have to pay your own costs upfront.

On the other side of the coin:

One guy I am trying to help with an appeal was falsely accused a few years back and he attempted to sue them - at the time the allegations had not been reported to the police just to SS.

It looked like he was winning and that they would have to shell out for his costs so they reported the allegations to the police and he is now sitting in prison having lost the civil case and also the criminal.

ah! that is so bad so unfair. Is it really just defamation if you lost financially?

The liars realised they had been found out and had been given a certain amount of time to pay costs and compensation. They didn't have the money so they went to the police to make the false complaints formal.

        Revenge springs to mind......

Well I would have suggested you first (you know how generous of spirit I am!!) but I don't think your new man would like it if you high-tailed it away for a few months....so I am afraid it has to be me......

revenge in another way :-) for example if the accuser is doing something illegal, report her and help the UK government! this time the accuser becomes the accused! but you have to be careful not to get tangled all up in it again. Hmmm.. fraudsters should be reported; and to report them is no crime; infact the government would be very happy!! the councils have high targets of benefit fraud detection!

yey! for that RF, these people should be put on the other side of the fence. What was the saying..people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! The facebook is really good for identifying fraudsters!

South of france sounds nice but my wife may object...
Thanks for the link fighter, but that guy was fortunate that the girl admitted making it up. Im not so lucky.
So i figure then that i can do nothing within the law to even the score with this girl.
One thing RF, what if i sue for deformation, then drop the case before court? Will she then have to pay her own costs do you think? Do you know of a good deformation sol in east midlands area?
