Can't sleep, can't think of anything else please can someone help!

Hi,
I have been falsly accused and I feel like my whole world has fallen apart. What was a good night out has turned into a nightmare. Im not sure how much detail i should post but in a nut shell, I met these girls in a bar, we were having a laugh and getting on fine they decided to come back to my flat, we had some drinks and one thing led to another, one girl backed off and fell asleep the other went to a private room in my flat and was more than happy to have sex but now has reported me to the police for rape. She said that night she was going to do this after I had backed off but I never actually thought she would. Thre was other people in the house one that heard nothing and the other that heard us come in and heard the girls were more than happy to 'mess around' and were laughing and joking. Please can someone who has been through this tell me what chance this has of actually going to court I am going out of my mind, I cant believe someone would do this and try and ruin my whole life! In her statement she says she consented to everything we did up to the point of full sex but then said I raped her, also does anyone know of a good solicitor in the south west of england that can help me! Hey buddy i too am in the sw england solicitor reccomended to me was nunn rickard in exeter. I havent been charged yet (hopefully wont) but the solicitor was more than happy to chat with me and helped my mind get put too rest a little bit. thankyou for replying, it was after we had attempted to have sex once, but it was late and i was sobering up so downstairs wasnt working properly, we tried a different position and it was at that point I backed off as it was going nowhere and i have a girlf so was starting to think about her and that i shouldnt be in this situation, and she just flipped and starting saying I had assulted her and she was going to go to the police

Thankyou RF I have to say the amount of time you spend helping people on here is amazing thankyou. Do you have any idea when I will get my phone back and what they are keeping it for, it is logged in to all my facebook and email etc so they have my life history to look through, not that there is anything to hide its just im worried they could potentially take any comment from a friend or a picture from years ago and twist it to build up a false picture of my characture etc?

No idea - it could be a few weeks or over a year.

You could change your passwords so they can't get further than the front page of FB and your email account.

Yes - very careful. If the police ask you why you have changed your passwords (they will accuse you of having something to hide) you can honestly say that you have a right to privacy and that your emails to your solicitor are your private concern as is your Facebook account.

Ok and thanks again, the police were really friendly to me at the station and were saying dont worry about it have a good xmas etc even chatting to me about my job etc, it made me feel like they believed me but after reading on here maybe I shouldnt read into that as it was giving me hope this will just be dropped

yes, don't be too friendly with the police. In my partner's case they even told him the statements of the girl is rubbish; nothing to be concerned of. One CID said if it's him he is gonna drop it. But it was never dropped. Comments such as those put hopes up and then it just made you feel angry more in the end. We also thought they believe in my partner. anyway, i really hope yours would be dropped.

hi get that facebook password changed as soon as posslble
my son gave the police his log in details for facebook to prove where he was at certain times . they used it against him. they also deleted the posts that would have helped him prove where he was at time of alleged rape
if their is anything that will help you from the accuser in facebook comments or posts you need to get them copied straight away. and give them to solicitor not the police
