      Some good news

Following giving a statement on Sunday, my accuser made contact online. Not going in to too much detail but he has admitted to the false allegation, which the chat site was able to record whilst I was chatting with him.

I am now pressing upon the Police to bring about a charge for perverting the course of justice.

It is personal view, but I feel it would be right and just that as the accused, I have the right to anonymity until convicted of an offence.

I will post here as the case continues.

        Thanks for the update David.
I'm so pleased that you told your boyfriend and that he is supporting you - his support will be vital to you.
It's good that you have expressed a desire for anonymity and I genuinely hope it will be granted.
        Please do keep us updated.

          Sheer frustration and despair

The police have delayed a number of times to carry out an arrest on my accuser due to resourcing. I have found his facebook address today which states he is moving house today and yet despite me advising the police of this numerous times today, I am still told lack of resources, and with the investigating officer off duty for 2 days my accuser could well of moved.

I am going out of my mind...

hang in there - if they have the info then they can still contact him.

Please try and give yourself a break, making yourself ill over this isn't helping you. Keep posting and shouting, but my advice is to take yourself out for a while. You can only deal with so much.

            Be kind to yourself.

My accuser has been arrested and is currently being interviewed. A source of comfort. Managed to access a counselling service bypassing my GP, as they have a 2 month wait.

Jolly good! I do hope we read in the press a few months down the line that he's been successfully prosecuted and sentenced to a decent term in custody. It will also be good for those people who bang on about "evil women" who make false allegations to see this in the media as men and boys do so as well. We just do not get to hear about those cases so often.

Had a call fromt he police. He has been bailed for 2 months and they have confiscated his home pc and mobile.

                    Is bail a good sign?

its run of the mill, but who knows what they will find on his pc and mobile, fingers crossed that they will find enough to nail him with.

Will be interesting to find out why he went no comment. If this was on the advice of his solicitor then it cannot be held against him but if it is not then the jury are entitled to add an adverse inference....

                            Update

Police called today. My accuser not only gave a no comment interview with his solicitor present, once the interview was finished, he said that someone had hacked his online chat account as he claims he never said he made up the rape allegation.

Fortunately they already have his IP address from the chat provider and the chat log. So unsure how he can continue with the notion that somone hacked his chat account and then go on to appologise and admit the false accusation. Odd that he did not diclose this during the interview.

Police have said they have all the evidence they need to proceed with a perverting the course.... Have to wait 6 weeks for the analysis of his pc and mobile to be completed before passing to CPS.

Forgot to add that the police confirm he has mental health issues. How might this impact the case with the CPS and then the court?

They might say that he is either unfit to be tried or to plead. He will be examined by an expert and it would depend on the expert's opinion.
