BoyFriend accused of rape

My 22 year old boyfriend is being accused of raping a 16 year old.

two weekends ago me my boyfriend of 3 years and his brother went over to his mothers house cause she was out of town. around 1:30 am my boyfriends buddy called him and said he was going to be coming over and he was just waiting for his ride. when he got there he had to 16 year old girls with him, which i am guessing was his ride. we have never met them before. I went to bed around 3:30 am. I woke up around 10:30 and had asked my boyfriend when they all left he said he couldnt remember. He couldnt even remember what happened after I went to bed. And yes we were all drinking. Saturday is when we went to his moms. Monday my boy friend was at work and at my house the police had came late afternoon. And had questioned me about what all happened saturday night between 4 am and 6 am. I told them that I was sleeping and the only people awake were my boyfriend his brother and and his friend along with two girls were awake after I went to bed. The werent able to tell me what my boyfriend was being accused of. But they also said that it involves my boyfriends brother as well.
so they took him to the ploice station to get a statement from both of them.
My boyfriend came back and told me that they were accusing him of raping one of the 16 year old girls. But there were no witnesses because the one girl and the other guy I guess had left for awhile. So the only people at the house after I went to bed were my boyfriend his brother and one of the girls. After I went to bed I never heard anything going on. But I know that he couldnt do anything like that (rape) at least I think.He swears up and down and he put it on our daughters life that he does not remember anything. So I want to believe him just because I dont want to lose him but I dont know what to do or what to believe. and the police havent done anything yet and it has already been a week. WHAT DO I DO?

Has your boyfriend actually been charged? until he is charged it is not actually certain that it will go any further, and in some cases even after he is charged the case may be dropped.

Make sure you get your boyfriend a good solicitor - one that specialises in rape/sexual offences. this is a SERIOUS ALLEGATION, make sure you do everything you can to protect your partner and yourself. Has he been examined, and have samples been taken? the likelyhood is that he will be bailed pending further enquiries, you need to make sure he adheres to the conditions of his bail - do NOT give the police or his accuser any more ammunition than they already have. Make sure he tells you everything, you don't want any nasty surprises further down the line.

If he can't remember what happened, it is quite likely that he was in no fit state to try to have sex with anyone, but not having his version of events could be damaging.

make sure you take care of yourself too - being the partner of a falsely accused person is extremely traumatic.
