thanks saffron thats comforting to know i will be given a chance to explain

i have only had the one voluntary interveiw then was charged 9 months later ( I did not have another interveiw when charged ) origanly only 5 charges

then i went to mag court to enter a plea of not guilty and the prosecution then added another 5 my sol was not there has i was only entering a plea i can only assume they re interveweid her inbeetween me being charged and going to court ?

the police have said they will not need to speak to me again so they wont know i have rememberd things

i have no proof but i beleive she has been pushed into extending the time scale of the allegations becuase if she thought she was going to get more sympathy from the authorities she would go for it

iam going to ask sol when we meet why extra charges was added why was it not all said at the begining
many thanks saffron your replies are a big help

that's par for the course - they add more charges in the hopes that some of them will stick.

is there any offical statistics to show that there is a large number of people who have been convicted of a sex crime but released on apeal.

if so could it be used in court

No this can't be used at trial as it is irrelevant to your particular case. If you think about it most people who are charged ARE guilty. Although it doesn't seem like it the falsely accused are a small minority, so telling the jury that some people are released on appeal (often not on evidence that proves innocence) is neither here nor there.

Hopefully you have instructed a solicitor who specialises in historic allegations as ther are ways and means of obtaining evidence relating to the reliability of the complainant at that time.
