    • I thought I'd added my congratulations - but seems I haven't - Congratulations to you both.

And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

        • I'm doing ok had a bit of a low few days but had a pretty good weekend so I'm feeling a bit better. The newspaper article has actually had the effect of making people come out of the woodwork to say they believe me and know I would never do something like that. So that's good, but it is having a detrimental effect on my family I think my mum is really worried.

          • Does mum know what she is worried about? Is she worried about you or in general that vigilantes might take umbrage?

When you consider how many allegations are made about sexual abuse, false and true - it is rare that people are targeted by mindless tw*ts.

We read about it in the papers on a very few occasions and it's easy to suppose it happens all the time. If that was true it would be in the papers as many times as we read about somebody being charged. We don't do we?

Is it possible for mum to go away for a few days to get her head together?

            • No I don't think she is worried bout the vigilante justice as the paper was out on wed and they prob would have had a go by now. I think she is just worried about what could happen to me, I've tried explaining that we have the best legal team on board but they can't make it better this instant we have to play the long game. Don't spose you have any examples of similar cases dealt with by chris Saltrese or some statistics that I could show her just to might help her rest her mind a little bit.

I do feel bad for her as she worries a lot I'm in the army and my brother in the marines so we are generally in places she would rather us not be and we both care for her a lot. As you can imagine we are both boisterous and generally up to no good but her support for us is always unwavering. Someone else that I will have to spend a lot of time making it up to once its all over.

              • I am sure you have already done this but would you be so kind as to email me your whereabouts in the UK? You never know one of Chris's satisfied clients might be close by and could offer one-to-one support. Also if you are on Facebook send me the link to your page or I can email you the links to PAFAA Facebook.

                        • Billy, if you look on Chris' website, there are details of past cases. Also, a search of his name on Google will bring up news articles of cases he has been involved in and articles he has written.
Many members of PAFAA have also had Chris on side...you will get brilliant testimonies for your mother's benefit (and yours in fact) from them too.

I shouldn't think it is necessary to 'make things up' to your mother. She is suffering like you are but that is the fault of the accuser. You are both victims. It is all to natural for mum to worry...she will feel helpless but don't feel like it is you causing her the pain. She is worried because she loves you so much.
My mother was an absolute rock to me during my ordeal and we just had a heart to heart this weekend about it. She went through every up and down with me but she never once blamed me for it. She just wanted to see me come out the other end and she said that what kept her going was seeing my strength and willingness to fight.

                          • Exactly - none of this is your fault Billy.

I've emailed you so hopefully you have received that now.

Faith's laptop charger went AWOL last night apparently so if he's not back on here so you'll know why.

                            • I've found it now, RF. Your ploy of hiding it to get rid of me has failed

Hope you are well, Billy. Give your mum a big hug next time you see her!
The best thing you can do is show your strength to her (even if you don't necessarily feel strong at the time) That will give her a boost and some confidence in the whole sorry situation.

Laugh at your problems, everybody else does. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on the list.
