Thank you again. Today was good. Her mum tripped up a few times for example saying hubby only went to uni for 12 weeks when a year later she admitted he would pick her up from school after uni when she started secondary!! She fluffed up quite a bit and acted bitter and twisted. As she agreed the hubby slept in her daughters room. Well you knew the alegations were of abuse never thought of mentioning it to the police in your three statements and only mentioning ? Er.. no! Silly cow then she said she didnt think at the time but she always knew but then changed and then re-said it again!

Hubby was A M A Z I N G kept his cool answered really well. Im very proud there was nothing more that he could have said. Barrister says that he is keeping somethings back for summing up! Good day

You say hubby has given evidence? That was a quick trial!

So it is barristers closing speeches tomorrow and Judge's Summing up?

Hope you are all ok as your nerves must be shot to pieces.....

It was word against word, hubby's family (four of them) is in court 2moro just saying they never saw anything untoward or noticed anything and confirm sleeping arrangements and their relationship with the accuser (very diff to what the accuser says!) Then our barrister is hoping the prosecution sums up 2moro and then he will Thurs!

It is rather unusual for the def not to be the last to give evidence. Maybe he is hoping that character references (if that is what the family members are) will resonate with the jury prior to closing speeches.

I thought that hubbys family were witnesses but obv I don't know as have no experience of this but he does have separate written character witnesses! Hubbys mum has worked for 17 years in schools as a protection person who looks out for signs of abuse and neglect etc so she would know signs to look out for etc and things accuser said to all of them that go against what she has said in statement and already in court.

Hi guys, so I've got two days to catch up on! Yesterday went well. Hubbys mum on stand came across well, our barrister was very happy with her. Barrister thought it was best to leave other family members as they would nothing to add to his mums. Hubbys best friend was up and wasnt even cross examined obv confirmed everything hubby had said. And that was pretty much it, finished at lunch time. Today, barrister read out hubbys two excellent character references. Prosecution summed up, so did our barrister who we thought did a great job then it was to the judge! Now because there is 10 charges against hubby ranging from sexual assault to rape between the ages of 9-14 there are a lot of different laws to consider so judge went over those with the jury (and as you can imagine, they sound horrendous!) and then left it at lunch time to do his summing up 2moro morning then it will be deliberating. So fingers crossed they have seen through the lies and they see hubby as not guilty! Feeling a mixed of relieved and stressed. Relieved that hubby and barrister have done the best they possibly can and stressed in case they believe the lies and because there are so many charges due to her age and the laws involved! So next time you here from me I cant believe I will have news one way or another.
