Hi Felix, another magazine I read is Private Eye and it occurs to me that there are issues that they cover sometimes such as DNA disposal and various miscarriages of justice and other wrongs and I wonder if it would be worth contacting them to carry your story with your concerns - and everyone's on here- that False Allegations are occuring frequently and the terrible trauma this inflicts on the accused person - and also on women who have genuinely been raped.
    Just a thought

    Kind regards
    Jen

Good point Jen. It's all too easy to forget that some women really are raped. And false allegations just add towards the difficulty of proving those investigations. All has a knock on effect doesn't it.

One point which you should bear in mind is that you cannot force a newspaper - especially ours - to print something, or force them to print in a way that is a) fair b) honest c) not in their interests.

You may get them to print your story, but you have little (read "no") final content over what is printed, and be prepared for a backlash.
It may be from those who still regard you as guilty regardless, it may be from those who think women cannot POSSIBLY make up false accusations, and it may be as a result of a hatchet job the paper does on you.

The latter happened to me. The bastar.d who started all of this called his local rag during the month between my conviction and sentence.
Too late, the moment I opened the door one of them (Press) was sat in a car at the end of my driveway, taking my photo while the other was at the door trying to look like a salesman.

In retaliation, I went to MY local paper and gave a full interview, explaining the truth.
Guess who got a hatchet job done on them? Comments I'd made, showing how ludicrous the accusation was, were written up in such a way as to be gloating, and printed the moment I was sentenced.

I'd suggest avoid the Press like it has fleas. With the internet today, YOU have total control and can reach a far bigger audience, with no reporter dulling or twisting the facts.

Hiya, I was just thinking that some talk shows such as Jeremy Kyle (another secret shame of mine) does some controversial subjects and these sometimes are done with the faces blocked out - if you wanted to raise awareness there are a number of angles you could go at it from. Just an idea.
          Best wishes

Hi Felix, indulging in my secret shame of Women's crappy mags I came accross a story in Take-a-Break magazine. Page 34-35 dated June 30th. This is about a man who had been wrongly accused of Child Porn whose wife stood by him - and his efforts to sue the police force which failed to investigate properly.
Just thought it maybe of interest, and suggests T.A.B. is clearly up for stories of wrongful arrest and being labelled a pervert when it is blatantly untrue - plus how the wife stood by him every step of the way.

            Kind regards

              You cannot hope
              to bribe or twist
              (thank God!) the
              British journalist.
              But, seeing what
              the man will do
              unbribed, there's
              no occasion to.

Hmm, as Humbert Wolfe died over 70 years ago, I would suggest he wrote that back in the days when the (newspaper) journalists he encountered had a shred of honesty.

Unlike today's tabloid gobsh!tes who care little for the truth, and even less for the damage they cause as a result.

TaB also prints stories of false allegations as told from the accuser's view. One of "my guys" was victimised in TaB and unfortunately she did not change the essence of the actual allegations - but she DID change a lot of the background of the story. She Also told them that she was 19 years of age, when in fact she was 17, so they would pay her out.

Not grounds for appeal despite the fact that here was proof that she would lie to make money..........
