Has anyone taken their false rape experience to the Nationals? Would they be interested? If so, how would one go about it???

My experience was that they would only be interested if the false accuser had been prosecuted.

This makes some sense as otherwise there may be libel issues (word against word... now where have we heard that before?)

Personally I don't think they would be interested. Look at the ken Clarke furore. Rape is such a hot potato that I think the papers stay well clear of it.

There maybe a contact on their website. I was also thinking about women's trash mags. They are as follows (trash mags are my secret shame):

Take a break
That's life
Full House
Love It

There are a few others as well. Just buy a magazine and they have a form for contacting or e-mail address inside the mag. They pay upto £1000. Take-a-break is a good one for controversial topics as is That's Life.

Firstly can I say that I thoroughly agree with your sentiments & I wanted to do the same so I'm not trying to pour cold water on the idea.

However the Daily Mail was the paper I contacted and the first question they asked was if my accuser had been prosecuted. I sent them an email enquiry (picking address one from their website) so it is well worth trying.

Jen's mention of the 'reality' women's mags brings bittersweet memories as I'm convinced that my accuser lifted some of her tales straight out of these

However I note that nearly all of the stories that they publish come with photos so I don't know if these have to be genuine or if consent from the subject is required, hmmm

Yonks ago I read an article in a trashy woman's mag about a young woman who had been falsely accused of molesting two kids she babysat. The case got to trial but the two children eventually refused to give evidence and the case was dropped. The poor lady had no idea why the children had fabricated the allegations, and the kids were not prosecuted.
So, maybe a "trashy" woman's mag is your best bet!

I feel the question of whether the accuser was prosecuted sort of misses the point. Just because I was never charged, but NFA'd, and I have no idea what happened to my accuser, does not lessen the nightmarish impact of arrest, cage van transfer 90 miles, 23 hours custody, five months of waking feeling sick.....

Yes, if I had been charged or even more it would have been a hell of a lot worse.

But, it was still vile, and it could happen to anyone - could it not?

She had no evidence - she could not have had because there was no rape. There was strongly contra-indicating ancilliary evidence, email, voicemail, text. Including material post dating the alleged offence which gave no clue (to the contrary was in some cases very warm) that a 'rape' might have occurred.

Yet despite this cconta-evidence, because of her word against mine in interview, I was still put through the mill for months.....

Felix, have you made a formal complaint to Plod? They might feel that her complaint was manifestly false, but it could take you making an accusation to make them do anything about it.
Add in to the mix other stuff she has done before and after and they might actually do something about it. Just a thought, and one worth pursuing, I reckon.

I think you have answered this question before, so forgive me if you have, but have you been to see your local MP about this situation? Other members have done so with favourable results.

I think it's a good idea. Nothing will change unless people talk about it. Most people are actually oblivious to it going on to be honest.
I know I was before. I always thought of the no smoke without fire thing. Amazing it took until I was 40 to open my eyes.

MP is locked and cocked and ready to fire. We are actively considering action against the woman potentially for blackmail and / or harrassment as well as false accusation. We all agreed we wanted my goods freed from the police before we made a move. This has now happened, and I have a review with my criminal solicitor on Tuesday. Problem is we need to get police stirred up enough to open an investiagation.

My MP is focussed on claering my name, getting back DNA etc, getting a letter from ACPO which is good for US visas, clearing E-CRB etc. Have not thought of him striing against her. Why / how would he??
