If convicted, how do you explain to a young child where daddy is?

Hi, yeah the barrister said that to us, I think it was at the plea and case management. He did say he wouldn't say but I needed to know, as for like you say, it wouldn't be such a shock. Yeah i wrote a nasty list, will be shopping for those items this weekend as we have to take my little one to be looked after the weekend after so just want to be prepared. They will go out on the Thursday and I imagine that from advice from earlier threads that we will prob know before the weekend, although I appreciate that's not always the case.
