  • False Allegations/Local Authority Housing & my local MP

Hi been while since i came on here but thought i would post up a quick update. For anyone who hasnt read my posts previously or incase i didnt post up much information. I was accused last october. My ex used my daughhter to get me round her house and i slept with her. I was accused of rape arrested and if you read the forum then the usual bail etc. I got NFA'd and i had a good experince with the police although my ex didnt have action taken against her.

Anyway back to why im posting while i was on bail my ex was re housed by the local council and jumped the housing que and was gven a house in an area most people couldnt afford to live (no prizes for guessing her motives).

She was refused a house before due to housing areas and a bad reference from our prevoius landlord mhmmm the plot thickens as she is now housed even wth previous arrears etc. I wrote to my local MP quite annoyed with this! Anyway he has taken action i have recieved 2 letters now and the council have been asked to investigate and the MP is keeping informed. I will of course if i hear more share this wth you all.

    Hi disbelive,

Thanks for the update, it's always suggested that, when a FA is made, to look for underlying motives, and this (lifestyle betterment) is another one to add to the list.

Unfortunately, like the £80 fine imposed on another false accuser that Saffron highlighted yesterday, this is hardly likely to act as a deterrent to stop her doing it again

Hi there, glad you are getting somewhere with your complaints - that's really good news.

Yeah - the £80 fine was for accusing 2 men of rape. Unbelievable. Totally awful.

recieved another letter today from the MP and an answer from the council. Apparently due to data protection i cannot know the outcome. The letter reads:

For confidentiality and data protection reasons, the council is not able to respond to mr W*&%^^%^$ comments and concerns regarding his former partners housing application. Please be assured that the Council takes allegations of fraud very seriously and we will be investingating these allegations throughly. Where there is evidence that false declarations have been made on housing or homelss applications, there are a range of sanctions availible to the council and housing associatations including the removal of a tenency secured, based in false information, bans from housing list of up to five years and legal action. Successful prosecution under the Fraud Act can result in imprisonment and a fine or both.
