They selected my barrister, Hugh Wallace (9 Park Place Chambers, Cardiff) to represent me in court. He is a very nice guy, but still manages to draw the information out he needs and gets his own way in the end. He also gets the jury on your side.


He is a former chief crown prosecutor who now does mainly defence work.

I wish we can share our experience to the media. We are currently undergoing the process, after 10 months of being on bail he was charged and the hearing starts january. It has been a miserable life. I cannot imagine how one person has the power to ruin someone's life by falsely accusing him.

We just met with the barrister today and he wasnt so sincere as our solicitor. and what we need right now is somebody to keep our hope up. To say these are the good points in your case and these are the bad ones. We didnt feel any connection with him and that push us down that miserable path again.

Once our process is over am sure my partner would be willing to be interviewed.

Our barrister is the same, i think it is there demeanour, they do this job every day and it is there job, you have to be confident in him. Going from our soliciter to the barrister was a bit of a shock however he keeps telling us not to worry that its a clear cut case, thats easy for him to say we have had this going on in our lives for 18 months now and i just want our lives to be free of this. What date does the trial start, ours is the 16th January and it is becoming more real now. Please keep in touch because if it werent for this forum i would have gone mad . Kazzarat.

Thanks rights fighter, I googled him but could not find out if he is a specialist in false allegations. Will look more into it.

Kazzarat, our trial is on the 3rd of january but only administrative type. At least your barrister told you it is a clear cut case; ours did not give us any assurance that the case is strong and do not believe in what my partner said about the accuser and the family. What made me feel bad is when we said how can an accuser just ruin anybody's life; you know some sympathetic words would have been welcomed but he didnt say anything. It is like you exposed your vulnerability and he didnt say anything. I would rather have somebody who can at least make you feel better. When we come out of that office we were miserable. Good luck with your trial too Kazzarat and yes we have no choice but to be strong only.
