accused of something i did not do 15 years ago

last friday i was arrested for 3 accounts of rape on my step daughter from my first marriage, i was taken to a police station questioned and charged since then i just hate the humilliatetion of it all cause when i met the family the step daughter was 2 so i brought her up as my own daughter. She called me dad from the first time i saw her her mum was nine years older than me. My x has done nothing but cause trouble for me and my wife now for nine years she is just bitter and twisted and well and truly pissed of with me cause i walk out on the family 4 days before the 14th anniversary i just had enough and could not take anymore of it so i left and then all the trouble started time and time again

I was a little surprised that they charged you straight away rather than bail pending further investigation.

Did you have a duty solicitor?

i have got 2 solicesters i am on bail till the 11th of april while they are doing further in vestigations

So you have not been charged yet.

Good.

You should get a solicitor who specialises in false allegations of historical rape.

You could contact FASO (you can google to get the number). They can recommend a specialist solicitor.

only been given a date to attend thee police station on the 11th of april the only conditions i have is that i am not allowed to get in contact with my x or my step daughter but who would want to to

If you are on Bail, the police will have given you a bail notification to return to the police station.

If you were charged, my understanding is that you would have a date to go the Magistrate's court before the case is refrred to the Crown Court.

Doesnt sound like you have been charged.

A number of these cases will get no further action (NFA) from the police.

Your solicitor may have given you an idea of how the interview went?

Did they give you an idea of any corroborating evidence or is it purely on the testimony of your step daughter?

this was meant to of happened with my x was in hospital but its just that she is bitter and twisted because i left them and started a new family
