    hello

I have been falsely accused of raping a 35yr old woman
i was at a street party with my friends when we bumped into one of my friends family and friend we got talking and ended up staying together drinking and having a great time.

Unfortunately there was my accuser, she was being extremely flirtaious with everyone asking for kisses etc. and unfortunately i decided to go along i had sexual intercourse with the lady with full consent. she asked me to take her from behind as i did i noticed she was bleeding so i stopped. she continued to give me oral sex until i was finished she then fell asleep and i left for a taxi.

The next day we were both at my friends party and we didnt talk fine i thought. but she got drunk and was trying it on with some lads who were there she ended up kissing and fooling around with one of the guys.

she then went back to england and now i hear shes accusing me of rape! veryone who was there believes me over her even her best friend. Supposidly she has bruises that her BF found and that when she cried wolf.

The Police have not been in contact with me yet but are getting statements of people i just wanna know what am i to expect

im already sick and scared my whole life couple be destroyed becuase of some venomous woman

    please help

As the alleged offences occurred in Scotland then that would be where the trial (if there is one) would probably be held. The law is different there so you would need to instruct a Scottish solicitor, I would think.

It sounds like there were a lot of witnesses who saw her behaviour before and afterwards. If the police do not interview them then if you are charged you will need to make sure your solicitor does. If they ARE interviewed by the police then depending on what they say in their statements, your solicitor/barrister can apply for them to give evidence on your behalf.

It's amazing - and sad - how many men arrive here having had casual sex with women they do not know.

Hi Darktimes. I'm sorry that your new year has started so incredibly badly. I think so many people here will probably shy away from casual sex for very obvious reasons. It is so common to have casual sex when young (I know I did) but I think there needs to be some sort of education about the possibly horrendous outcomes, if one party involved makes a false accusation afterwards. I never knew this happens so depressingly frequently - being falsely accused that is - until it happened to my close friend Tony.
Really hope this is all sorted for you
            Regards
            Jen

              Hi Darktimes

You must be devastated to fing yourself in this situation. I am in Scotland and am supporting my husband through a similar accusation. Firstly if the police / CID do come to talk to you you shouldn't say anything untill you have spoken to an experienced solicitor. The law has recently changed in scotland where everyone who is questioned is entitled to have the advice of a solicitor from the begining. Do not feel that by giving information willingly you will be helping your situation. it could be used against you. My husband has had to learn the hardway.

I hope nothing comes of this but I can appreciate your concerns and worries.

It may be worth looking for a good solicitor now and getting some advice on how to approach a police interview in allegations such as this so that you can be prepared. Police now have to give a suspect the opportunity to contact a solicitor at the beginning of questioning, so don't turn it down. There is usually a Duty solicitor on call that can be contacted but if you have one of your own choosing that is better.

Our solicitor advices that people should only confirm their name when questioned by the police untill they have been given expert advice and understand what the situation and circumstances are.

Depending on where you are in Scotland access to a solicitor may take some time so you are allowed to speak to one over the phone if necessary untill they can arrive. That can take more time so the amount of time the police can hold you untill release or charge has been extended.

Well folks thats me just back from the Police interview

The DC's investigating were extremely friendly and professional they put my mind at rest and had a quiet word with me explaining they do not believe the allegations but obvious have to follow procedure!

it seems the lady has created a whole new story since her first interview. Now the DC's are going to be travelling to englang and arresting her for wasting police time

Can i just say thank you to all the posts and thank you to this forum it really helped me through the dark times!

And to all those who read this and are going through an ordeal! Chin up and tell the truth. Lies are always found out in the end. Be Strong and look for support

my family were amazing and so were my friends

                    Thank you

Great news. Have you officially been told that there is no case to answer?
I hope they find this malicious liar and prosecute her. Please let us know what happens!

That is good news. You must be so relieved. it is good to see that the police have taken a sensible approach to this and realised this woman has lied from an early stage. I too would be interested to know how they deal with this woman and whether thay do go ahead and prosecute her. Please let us know, meantime i wish you all the best.

I haven't been told that the case has been dropped but the DC was extremely helpful she told me she has a few loose ends to tie up and that if they had the slightest feeling i was a rapist i would of been arrested and put in the cells. And i wouldn't of been walking through the front doors of the polcie station.

Im so glad this can be put behind me i was a frightened young man and im ashamed to say i even thought about taking my own life at one point but seeing the stories on here and the support of my friends and family have pushed me through and ive come out a better person!

I hope anyone who is going through a similar ordeal is able to come out with the same results as me!
