  • Hurrah!

Well, A. had everything dropped against him - and No Further Action!!!!! Found out today. Thankyou so much to everyone. I will still be coming on this board to offer any help that I can (even though I don't know much, I maybe useful for something).

He is going to his solicitor next week in order to make a complaint against his accuser. She was told this afternoon that it was NFA. Wish I'd been a fly on the wall.

Thankyou people. It's such a relief - it feels like we've all been holding our breath for 4 months. I did say to A. that after the euphoria has worn off, his mood may drop a bit. (I've been close friends with A. for many years and I've noticed that he manages to get through a stressful event - e.g. when his Mum died - and then sort of collapses afterwards). He sees about making complaint about her actions next week which I hope will give him something to get his teeth into.

Is there anyone with any advice for people who have been for this horribly traumatic experience and have had charges dropped. Did anyone continue to feel anxious and depressed as well as feeling happy?

Oh Jen, I'm so pleased for you and A. I don't know whether he's aware that you are with us, but if so please tell him I am ridiculously happy for him (and you of course).

You have been a wonderful friend to him. I am sure he appreciates everything you have done for him, but I wanted to say that if we all had mates like you the world would be a better place.

                  ((((hugs))))

Great news! Be prepared for a whole gamut of emotions; joy at the NFA; confusion as to what happened; anger; depression as he thinks "I could be inside now" .....; weeping with laughter and/sadness at the same time; "Why me???"..........

If he thinks he is going mad - he's not. It is perfectly natural to go through a variety of emotions and then go through them all again.

Once he has settled down he will need to see if the allegation lies on his ECRB check.

That is such fantastic news for both of you - and did someone else say there was another today? On top of my son's NFA yesterday this seems to be turning into a good news week.
