  • Boyfriend falsley accused

    Hi everyone

My boyfriend has been falsely accused of rape too, by someone, who now is an adult and is claiming that the rapes have been commited over the last several years. Which means that some would have been under the age of 16 yrs old.
There has been another person accused of the same things by the same person, they have been released on bail twice.
The trail isnt until next year.
Its driving us crazy, the not knowing whats going on.
The more he talks to people inside the more hes thinking hes gonna get sentenced/convicted for something he hasnt done, because he cannot prove he didnt do them (one he can prove because he was with me, but the others were so long ago, he has no way of proving he is innocent)
I dont know anything about the law system, however, from what ive heard about the biasedness towards females, i am loosing hope. Please help if anyone has advice.

My boyfriend is been held in remand in prison, as he has no home address that he can be bailed to.

    Thank you for reading, .

Firstly, well done for standing by him, in this situation it is enormously helpful to have someone believe in your innocence.

Being on remand makes it difficult for everyone as just talking things through sometimes produces a solution or a possible line of defence.

I'm assuming he's got a solicitor acting for him and preparing a defence case so if you can think of anything to help him it's probably best to speak to them.

Where any of the alleged rape dates within 14 days of his arrest? If not then they will be considered as historical allegations, and as you say, difficult to defend against as there will be no medical evidence to prove or disprove the allegations.

As the trial date is now set the outcome will depend on if the barrister can get it thrown out for any reason or, if not, who the jury believes at the end of the proceedings.

The prosecution will be trying to discredit your boyfriend so he must fight fire with fire and try to discredit the girl: has she a motive for accusing him i.e. jealousy because he's now with you; did they have an argument about something; is she attention-seeking or a compulsive liar?

These are only suggestions as I don't know the girl, you do and you might think of something else, but the aim is to show the jury a reason for her to make the false allegations. As she has also accused someone else this may well work in his favour.

Good luck, and if you have any worries you can always share them on here.

His solicitor should obtain the details of this if it is separate to the present case.

By the way is that case related to the present case? For instance, is the person "accused of the same things" a co-defendant in this case?
