  • Any Idea's

I was accused and convicted of indecent assault some time ago, my accuser has now been to the police and confessed to making a FA. She was charged with perverting the course of justice, has been to court and been convicted and sentenced ( not that that helped much).

Anyone have any idea's on how long this may take to get to the appeal court ?

I feel in limbo at the moment, having trouble moving on from this nightmare !

I take it you have a criminal defence solicitor on board?

      Yes.

However, they don't seem to be able to give me any idea how long this is all going to take.

OK. Have they lodged an appeal application? To do this they have to send the NG (Notice and Grounds) form to the convicting Crown court. That court will then send it to the CA General Office. In your case it might go straight to the registrar.

If you can email me by clicking on the link (my user name) please do so. If you let me have your landline number I can ring you to talk you through the procedure.

The main line of my work is appealing convictions for the solicitor I work for so will probably be able to help/advise/support you.

I could not find a way to email you or pm you, maybe I am doing something wrong.

As far as I am aware an appeal application has been lodged, however, the original convicting court closed. There is also the time element involved as I have been told that the court records would have been destroyed by now. My solicitor said that it would also have to go through the CCRC before it can be sent to the appeal court.

Justcoping, if you left click Rights Fighter's name in her conversation box, a drop down box will appear. From there you can choose to PM or email her.

Ah, having said that, I note that you're a New Member which means that the PM facility is disabled on your account for the first 10 days to deter spammers.

As said, if you put the mouse cursor over Rights Fighter's name and left click it, you should get a drop down box with a number of choices, and email should be open to you.

Appealing out of time won't matter here. I'll try to find another way to contact you.
