The biggest problem remains corruption & dishonesty of the police right at the begining of these cases.

True, but the problem is that no one in authority wants to investigate and weed out corruption in the police. Crime figures might suddenly nosedive if the corrupt practices stopped.
I've been thinking of doing a petition to No10 to weed out the corruption and to have root and branch overhaul of the legal system, but as they're so strapped for cash they'd rather continue with a corrupt system than pay for an honest one.

Still, the Anonymity petition's a start.
