Dear Gareth. PLEASE understand you are not alone. Every time I log onto here there seems to be another person new to the site who has found themselves in a similar situation. I can only speak from the point of view of a parent whose son had to endure this ordeal. Please fight the demons, if you give into them how would your family feel? Unfortunately some people may think you did it because you felt guilty!! she would therefore win. Our son, whose case was NFA'd 5 months ago still has many problems trying to come to terms with what he went through, fear, anger, paranoia (that's the biggy) headaches, well the list goes on, BUT, he has got through it and he has special needs, so it was a bigger challenge for him than others. Have you considered ringing the samaritans? I found them invaluable at the time of this ordeal, just having someone impartial to talk to was helpful. Have you been to your GP to get some help? PLEASE try to stay strong and keep coming back here and we will support you the best we can. Are you in a city in the southwest or rural?
Gareth, I would advise against putting the town or close location as this is a public forum and the police sometimes do drop in to see who is saying what.
Rights fighter , didn't want to know his exact location, that would be pretty daft. just that sometimes more support is available to those living in towns rather than the rural areas.
Witsend, I agree that you personally may not want his exact location but Gareth may not know that and he may not also be aware that the police stop by this forum - hence the warning.
Gareth, the solicitor cannot really do much as you have not yet been charged (we do not know that you will be, either!) There is little or no paperwork at the moment and with no information coming through, he cannot really advise you.
Make sure you keep original copies of everything and take screen shots of any messages sent to you by the accuser. Make sure you remove your sidebar/favourites if they are on view, before taking the screenshot - the same goes for any open document at the bottom of the screen as they will show up on a screenshot.
Gareth people like me have gotten through this hell , no matter how hard it seems at the moment try to stay positive. I felt just as isolated as you do now so with the same worries ,keep coming back to the forum in any form that helps, just to know people replied to mine kept me going.
Wel crunch time as tomorrow, I answer bail and i have been sick all day at the complete thought of it. My head hurts and I feel all clammy with the fear.
Have packed a prison bag with memories of those i truly love and adore.
I hope those on the site in the same shoes as me get through this. I have no fight in me and just want this ordeal to end.
Take the bag that's sensible - but I doubt you will be remanded if there is no flight risk or any risk of contacting the other side. it might also be NFA'd of course. Fingers crossed......
Good Luck Gareth. The site's due for maintenance tomorrow, but we'll expect you back on Tuesday to tell us it went well and you got bail.
Fingers crossed.
Just heard from solicitor that attended original interview that the oic is not going to be dealing with it, and another dc from plymouth will be now taking the case on, as it happened in plymouth originally. I am so very very worried by this matter now and feel whats going on.
Do i need to worry also told by solicitor that they have additional information now, what does this mean?
No, it could mean anything even proof that she lied. There's just no point in getting all worked up over something which could be anything.
You've got to answer bail, and you'll be home again. That's what you've got to concentrate on for now.
