  • what about this?

i dont know if anyone saw prime ministers questions today.... i heard David Cameron talking about rape accusations and he said that false accusations had risen by 18% ? since 2003 and several people had committed suicide. Since the govt are obviously thinking about this i suggest that we all write to David cameron and our mps. Mine is very interested in what has happened to my son and i intend to write to the pm and tell him my story.
my point is that we have all suffered a great deal of injustice and this needs to be brought out in the open. if you want to write to your mp go to WWW.writetothem.com

Good find! I bet false allegations have risen by far more than 18% but it's worth getting in touch with MPs to publicise this.

I'll post this one of the private forum - thanks WF for the link.

      letter

Dear worried father. I have written to our MP regarding our sons police record, they certainly don't rush to reply!!! Think it means I will have to get a letter off to the PM Hopefully if he gets enough letters he might give this matter some serious thought? Off to fire up the printer

heard from my MP yesterday, Govt want to bring in anonimity for rape accused, labour opposed (harridan harman no doubt, i mean harriet harman) they would appreiciate any stories of how this has affected people so write to them and a petition is a very good idea.
the issue for me is that what other piece of legislation guarrantees that the accused will be arrested, have his dna taken, be interviewed and bailed all on the word of one person who may be lying and whos story has not been investigated? write to them! www.writetothem.com

Had a look at the link, may take me a little while to sort this out, ie the wording etc, the fact that we have to give name and address causing a little concern. if anyone has any suggestions as to wording i would be grateful.

Why not make it all-encompassing? Such as
"Sort out the corruption that is rife within our legal system, which permits liars and perjurers to tell untruths in British courts with no redress taken if they are found out.
When their untruths are uncovered in the course of a trial, then said trial should be ruled null and void, and those liars should be prosecuted themselves for perjury routinely; prosecution should be the norm, not the exception, as is currently the case.
More scope given for those who have been wrongly convicted, with no recourse open to them to appeal - the current rules being dismissive of many prospective appellants.
In other words, a root and branch reworking of the current system, which sits at odds with all that the country professes (to other nations) to hold dear."

Witsend, if you're worried about posting your name and address on it, I'm more than happy to put mine on it instead.

                        The message is getting through

Did anybody see the news in todays express - a false accuser has been given time for accusing a plod of rape - makes you wonder if this was because it was a plod - but strange this one - as he was bailed etc etc same as we all are then she admits she was lying - bet she took some pressure.

Anyway read the news - the judge made some good solid comments - but the tide is turning - very slow but turning

Constant, I did see that article in today's Excuse. As you can see there's a big divide between if you're a Plod or the great unwashed. He only got reduced to Desk Duty so he wouldn't come into contact with the public.
Says a lot, considering most of us became instantly unemployed the moment the accusation was made.

Funny how accusers often "admit" they lied. I'll bet any money she had what the rest of us would call "harassment" from the plod's mates until she coughed. What a pity the rest of us didn't get that sort of help to help our accusers "bring it up."
Just goes to show how rarely **** sticks if you're in the right job.

LS - you are so spot on - I am trying hard to contribute to a charity that helps - guys/gals like us - its does not seem to exist - even that is ****ed up - can't offer my help even if I wanted to - they got us all ways.

Plob just hid from me - they are cowards and have become worse under the last administration - forget petitions lets consider hitting them where it hurts in the public domain - get some big hitter on our side and we will crack it.
