thanks rflh! I know being angry doesn't help but some days it is hard not to. As parents when somebody hurts your children it makes you mad. Have been taking it out on wallpaper stripping JOY !! had plans to decorate the lounge months ago, did our bedroom instead but have to have a new ceiling in the living room so decided we had better crack on otherwise the plasterer won't be none too pleased when he arrives on Saturday.thanks

    • oh the joy of doing ceilings - just done one myself - it was plasterboarded and then I had to do the joints.

Not a brilliant job, but it'll do me - if I take my glasses of it looks brilliant!!

                • update

Hi all, hope you are all ok? been away for the week and thought I would give a quick update. On our return we had a letter from our MP stating "it does seem unlikely that your son's biometric data will be destroyed prior to the introduction of any new legislation, despite his innocence". Good job we weren't relying on the Under Secretary of State responsible for crime prevention to deal with this matter. Yes I understand that our son has been very lucky, his data is being destroyed thanks to our Cheif Constable. Please, to all of you still going through the nightmare of false accusation, try to stay strong, my thought are with you.

They have NO IDEA of the brutality, trauma, anguish & pain false allegation in combination with corrupt & dishonest policing has upon the victim & their family & friends.

The only good police officer.... is DEAD police officer!

I really, really feel that strongly now & HATE, LOATH & DISPISE the police as they are 'supposed' to be professional, what a farce & comedy of errors.

                    • Dear utterlydestroted. I fully understand how you are feeling, we too could not believe what our son went through,BUT, I would like to say that we were very very lucky with the way the OIC dealt with our son. OK, our son has special needs and so did the female accuser, this made the whole affair very difficult for us. The officer was very understanding, he reassured our son every step of the way and even apologized that he had to put him through the ordeal but had to follow " due process". We have never had any experience with the police before and hope and pray we never do again. My heart goes out to all of you who have had such awful dealings with the police. Thinking of you.

                      • Hi folks, hope everyone out there are holding up ok. Things seem to be getting a little easier. Our son was soooooo stressed the other day as a young lady has expressed interest in him. This actually made him physically sick. He has given this situation a great deal of thought and has come to the conclusion that it may be worth pursuing a friendship with her as he understands that not all women are twisted and evil. I have a great deal of pride in him and I hope it gives others out there hope that things can slowly get better. Thinking of you all.

                            • Dear LS. We seem to be making SLOW progress, good days and bad days. He had a pretty bad week last week, couldn't shake off the depression and paranoia. This seems par for the course. He has joined a gym, the exercise might help lift his mood and at least he is getting out and about. As a family we are coping but still can't believe what happened, all we hope is that the female and her family are feeling bad, but I doubt it very much very much Just hope everybody else out there are holding up. My thought are with you all.

                              • Input please

Hi all out there. Can anyone offer me advice please. My husband and I have just had a weekend away on our own, the first one this year Our son has not coped at all well, the paranoia is crippling again. We understand that this is probably due to spending the weekend on his own not with us. We need to help him move forward and thought we were making progress but can't find ways of helping him deal with the paranoia so any input would be REALLY great. Help please
