Find out first why the matter was NFA'd. One of "my guys" has got his MP on board and she is busy arguing with the CPS about the possibility of the liar being prosecuted - the reason being that there is evidence to prove that she lied as opposed to "insufficient evidence to proceed" which is a whole different ball-game. The police were aware of the evidence and did not properly investigate the case. The MP seems to be 150% behind this guy and hopefully she will keep at it until we get a result.

A civil action will cost you a lot of money and may not result in the liar being forced to pay any kind of recompense. Having said that, there are one or two no-win no-fee solicitors about who might take it on. I cannot recommend anybody but I do know of a couple of practices you could approach. Please remember that this would not be a "referral" or "recommendation" though as I have no idea as to their success rates.

And generally speaking (for others who may be reading this) - it depends on the age of the accuser. If it's a minor then such action would probably go nowhere.
