Brother accused of rape

Hi there, last week my brother was accused of rape, he lives next door to my mum, he lives with his partner. Last week was his birthday, everyone went out for the night, local workmen club. His female partner has a 16 yr old daughter who was staying the night. We (all 3 brothers) all have an obsession in checking doors, everything is locked etc before bed.
His gf was in bed and he was drunk, staggering around the kitchen, he mistakenly went into the wrong room and got in bed, jumping on top of his gf's daughter.. Apparently it's what he does when he's horny.
Realising his mistake and the daughters horror he went straight to his gf and woke her, saying 'i've done something wrong, I got into the wrong bed'.
By this time the daughter had calmly walked past the bedroom, made no attemp to scream, shout, ask her own mother for help, she went outside and phone the police.

I would say the daughter does not like her mum's relationship with your bro. Would I be right?

Thanks, I think the daughter does have some issues with her mum relationship.. I'll coninue from my first posting. Police were called, daughter taken for a interview and the next day she did a video interview for the cps. My bro was released on the the streets after 23 hrs, no charges but bailed to appear back at the station in dec. Pending further investigation. He's bailed to my dads house and banned from his house? Him and gf phones confiscated? If the police thought he was a rapist would they release him on bail, a suppose rapist, 11.45 night time weekend, central town ? The solicitor today says DNA takes a long time but he's adamant he did not penetrate her.
On face book the day before the alledged offence she said she was depressed, can't stop crying, she says people are like sheep, just following eAch other around?? She was arrested 3 weeks ago for theft and she's banned from her gran mothers for stealing money. She has a petty record. My bro has no previous convictions, a kind heart, nice honest lad and yes he's my brother but at lot of people are asking to help because they can't believe it..

Sadly the police will allow "suspects" to remain on bail and some of them go on to re-offend.

This is not entirely unusual.

Does the girl have a psychiatric background? It sounds as though she does. if so your bro will need to instruct his sols to apply for those records.

If he does not have a solicitor who is experienced in defending false allegations of sexual abuse (as opposed to defending sex offenders) please private message me your bro's whereabouts - (where the trial, if it goes that far. will take place).

I might know of a suitable solicitor in his area.

Bro accused of rape

Forgot to say, brothers gf, mother of the daughter is supporting my brother, she's said so to the police, daughter gas been going off the rails for a bit.. Solicitor today said Its good he has no previous and it's good she is supporting him.
At the moment he's scared when ever he see's a police man or hears a car door.

Hi Oli, listen to what RF says, she knows what she's doing and the advice she gives is sound.

Thanks saffron, keep monitoring.. I've just received an email from rf, I've sent a email back. Fingers crossed. I have no Internet for a week so I'm using my iPhone which is difficult on this site.
Mum and dad Been crying all day, we are living a 24/7 nightmare.
