  • faslely accused, advice please

I was left with no option but to sue my ex-fiancee (in another country) over a property investment (in that country) we had made whilst we were together.

She counterclaimed that I had sexually assaulted her and then promptly offered settlement. The difference in amount no longer makes it economically, not to mention emotionally, viable for me to take it to court.

Words can't describe how I feel. It's a false accusation. I'm being robbed and smeared at the same time. I'm disgusted. I can't understand how someone can get away with saying something like this.

The alleged assault supposedly took place while she was over here years ago. As far as I know she hasn't filed a police report, but this individual is so spiteful I believe she could. Therefore I'd really appreciate if anyone can recommend a (criminal) solictor in Suffolk who can give me advice in this type of allegation. [The civil lawyer I'm using in the other country seems to have very little experience of such allegations and has not been particularly helpful]

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, sadly this is not unusual. You should try and remember everything you can about your ex and write it down, it may prove helpful.

Rights Fighter is the best person to advise you on solicitors. Take note of what she says, she is a mine of information about false allegations.

Others will be along too to add more advice to you and you're right to seek legal advice in case it does gert taken further.
And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..
