Some good news for a change. Although the SJ (Single Judge) refused to give leave to appeal last year, we successfully renewed the grounds before the full court (three judges) today.
Now we have been given leave to appeal, the clients will get legal aid for the full hearing. Hopefully that will be within a few months.
Telling you all this, as it does go to show that it can be done if the grounds are right and the barrister knows how to write their arguments persuasively enough. This was the most complicated case I have ever had.
