I have joined this forum to quickly explain the situation that I was in. Around about 1 year ago I was accused of sexual assault, as I initially was confident the charges would be dropped I was naive and agreed to be provided with a solicitor, due to the solicitors inexperience in this sort of field, things took a turn for the worst and I was charged. It was at this point I decided to get my own solictor. I then did some research and stumbled across a guy named Gerry McDonald from the forums here. I called Gerry up and discussed my situation. Although at that time he was not my solicitor, he still took 45 minutes out of his time to talk to me and after the conversation I immediately felt better and more reassured and felt I had a fighting chance.

I then decided to use Gerry as my solictor and I cannot stress how good he and his team are and the work they put into helping me and my case. Along with Gerry, I also had a barrister by the name of Catherine Bradshaw and again the work she did in helping me was excellent. I cannot thank them enough for the work and dedication and the time they made for me, taking the time to talk to me whenever I wanted and for helping me in getting the result I deserved and getting my life back on track. For the people who are unfortunate enough to end up in a similar situation, Gerry and his team are the first people you should ring, you will not be dissapointed!

It will fall off the thread, because as more posts are made on the same thread - they get 'buried'. On PAFAA we have a separate thread for each sol and barrister as it makes it easier to search, say, for "Manchester" or "London" as the town names are in the subject bar for instance

I've added the link to Gerry on that post to save people firking back and back through the thread looking for them.

AND ALL ON LEGAL AID TOO! It's the choice of solicitor and barrister that is important - not how much money you pay out.
