For those who have either been NFA'd, found not guilty or had convictions quashed using legally aided lawyers please would you be so kind as to let me know so I can send you an email address to write to, to let those who oppose the cuts know of your experiences. I have been requested to do this by a barrister - all comments will be anonymous if used, by barristers and solicitors in their arguments to the Government.
They want to hear from people who have had good experiences with legally aided lawyers.
I am aware that many on here did not receive good service but this is not about that. We are attempting to stop the savage cuts and removal of choice of lawyer - which is what the sleazeball Chris Grayling wants. He doesn't seem to realise that some defendants are factually innocent.
Those who write, please put into the subject line: "My positive experience with legally aided lawyers".
Also those who paid privately and who were charged before October last year, if you can comment that you had most or all of your money back, and that had there been a charge after October last year, you would not have been reimbursed, that would also be very helpful.
