  • False rape accusation

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and need some advice, I'm sorry if this has been covered 100 times but I just wanted to give a story.

First off this started aprox 8 months ago and there are no charges as of now. This person was at a bar and sending text messages back and fourth stating the she wanted him to do the deed basically. So after several hours she talks him into going outside and doing the deed. This was not the first time they had hooked up. So after the deed was done she is claiming rape. There has been no arrest and the guy has over 15k tied up in lawyer fees. The guy has been suspended fr work with pay at this time. All the text messages were in the phone and they clearly state she wanted to have sex. Now she is saying it was forced and had a rape examination done. They are talking Bout taking it to a grand jury but we all know that favors the "victim". They are tryin to make a deal with the guy to resign from his job and nothing will happen or take a chance of going to a grand jury and getting charged. He is innocent but does not know if he should take a deal or try his luck with a jury if it goes that far any input is greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum but sorry you had to find us - your best advice would come from a solicitor who specialises in defending FA. I would suggest thought that the person you're talking about doesn't admit to anything he hasn't done just to get "let off" - the consequences could be horrendous.....

Some others will be along shortly to help - in the meantime have a read of other threads and stickies....

    All the best MH

      Hi,

You mentioned 'grand jury'; are you based in the USA? If so AFAIK none of our current members have any experience of the American legal system though of course we can offer general and emotional support.
