  • Prisoners Wives BBC 1 - FA storyline

Quick heads up for anyone interested .......A False Allegation of child abuse has been introduced to the story line in prisoners wives tonight. The accuser lives next door to the accused.
The accused was remanded in custody, his wife is fighting his accusation.
It looks like it could develop into an interesting insight of the effects of false allegation. LP

the last series was good - very true to life, so I'm hoping this will be as well written.
And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

I did watch the programme as the last series was good but didn't realise how the story line was going to develop until the interview after the arrest, so quite true to real life I suppose.

I wanted there to be a helpline at the end of the programme for 'anyone affected by the issues raised' but of course there is no helpline for the FA

I watched it for the first time last night. I suspected what was comming when he got the knock on the door and it was two plain clothes detectives.
It looks like it will be an interesting story line, it screams FA - I would hope if it is confirmed as one, a helpline number would go up.
We could always make the suggestion if it doesn't

I've downloaded it to my computer and will watch it later. I saw hardly any TV at all last week as I was away in the Midlands, then Cardiff, then Swansea to stay with Devastated mum and her family.

I am not a fan of drama and soap but admit it was quite good ,the arrest was realistic
and the faslely accused didn't deserve the subsequent treatment "inside".

I started watching this during the first series but it made me cry constantly. So now I avoid it.
Shame. I might i-player last nights episode. And then cry a bit!

                          Merci beaucoup, BDC.
                          Tu est trés gentille.
(J'espére que je peux Tutoyer?) Je ne parle pas bien Francais....
and I can't work out how to do the cedilla (sp?) under the C either.
                          Anyway, forgive my pidgin-French.

You will need a hug before you watch Saffron and probably afterwards - am wishing I learned French

                              @ Saffron:

To place a cédille you must select the letter "c" then press Alt +135: Comme ça.

                              Comment ça va?

About the program, the hardest part for me is when the son of the falsely accused is looking at his mother at 25'27".
He must be the same age mine was when I got arrested, the difference is that I was handcuffed.

It took me one year and a half only to see him...
