  • Just checking in

    Hi everyone,
It's been one of the toughest days today. One of the witnesses got told he wasn't going in so the dc was annoyed about that. Then he said to her and I quote, "I'll say that I walked in and saw them in bed together". So this caused some stir. The DC had to tell the prosecution and he had to tell the defendant so he go kicked off. Then he came and sat near us and when they called his cousin in (witness) he walked in with him and sat in the courtroom. Minutes before we had to tell the police that he might kick off, so they was watching him. Lots of things were said but still don't know which way it's gonna go. Head spinning now but will carry on tomorrow. Thanks all.

Yeas RFLH, then hopefully Tuesday will be the day unless they use Tuesday for the barristers last plea before closing, I don't know.
It may take all day for my husband, gaughter and myself to be questioned?
Still not sleeping. My husband broke down last night after relaxing for the evening. Maybe that will help now he's released some tension. I hope he's going to be alright in the witness stand, he's petrified and never dealt with being in court before.
Well were going to chill today. Have a family meal tomorrow then see what Monday brings
          Speak soon and thanks RFLH

Hi Hol, I really sympathise with what you're going through. It's nothing short of hell. But..... all is not lost yet!
Have you had a chance to look at and try the link I put up on public speaking (general discussion)? You and your hubby might find it useful.
I'm going to point out the obvious ... you're hubby is terrified (quite understandably) and he's never had to speak in court before. Don't worry! The jury will spot that straight off and may be far more sympathetic towards him than some of the cocky fabulators they'll have heard in the last couple of days.

Try and relax and enjoy yourselves now, that's the best think you can do till Monday.
            Have a lovely week-end.

Hi Hol - I saw billykickass in the stand - he was amazing - because he was relaxed, confident but definitely not cocky or arrogant, but very very natural. He broke down in tears towards the end - it was natural and it would be a hard-hearted person who didn't. So, all I can say for your hubby is to be natural - truth is on his side and it doesn't matter how much the prosecuting barrister rephrases his/her questions - it's their job to try to trip him up - all your hubby has to do is tell the truth....My brother keeps telling me, "The truth will set you free." The jury did in billy's case and many others on here...thinking of you and sending

Hi, sorry for not getting back sooner.
The pc,(police cunstable) moved up to a DC ( detective) soon after she arrested my husband.
Don't know why, she got a roasting in the doc.
                    Thanks saffron
