No, he was actually as happy as a pig in sh!t, making light of it all while lying through his teeth. It was his mouthpiece daughter who did the crying and lying.

I am hoping, now they've run out of ill-gotten gains, that the ESA assessment puts him on Jobseekers.

I keep meaning to add another installment to "things I wanted to say" especially as the monster is getting married on 31st October to his ghoul.

That's not nice LS. TSK!!! I think she's a bit simple but she seems nice enough - completely taken in by him. No doubt the person he appears to be will change once he's got the ball and chain on her. Poor love.

He seems to have this svengali-like effect on people. They are aware of his lying and scumbag ways, but it's really bizarre to watch them back up his lies and conniving, even though they know it's lies and conniving. Commonsense would tell any woman with half a brain cell to run away, but they seem to flock.

Possibly they feel sorry for him - he has one of those faces that look hang-dog - wants hanging of course!

Joking apart - I hope so in this case - cos he didn't do it but then it's not about guilt or innocence is it? It's about whether the conviction is safe or not. This is why the guilty sometimes go free and the innocent lose appeals........

I hope so too RF...from a logical point of view, there is nothing at all safe about this conviction. I sincerely pray that it is seen that way in practice.
How are they both bearing up now that it is getting close?

Appellant puts on a brave face. His wife is in a state of course as are his parents. They've flown over from India to attend this appeal and to visit family at the same time

At least he'll have that extra network of support then
Must be difficult for his parents living so far away but I am glad they will be present for the appeal.

I think they will be invigorated by the support he is getting! I've booked me room and I'm looking forward to a real curry - watch out lads and ladettes the air will be a little pungant in Court and it won't just be coming from me, I guess there will be a lot of chuffing going on!

On the subject of audio tapes; the Crown do use them in evidence, even when the defendant didn't know they were being recorded, and they DON'T have to prove that they haven't been tampered with! Sad but true...

Can't wait to meet you all!!!
