Audio record your sexual encounters?

You can get compact digital audio recorders at a very good quality for quite cheap. I was thinking that you could press record any time you sleep with someone, you could also mention the date, you could say for example "oh **** what's the date today?" upon which your partner will tell you the date, this puts a date stamp on the audio recording. At the end you could ask them how the sex was for them.

I know it won't work for every encounter, but for many, you'll have recorded evidence of consent, would this be considered strong evidence of consent?

Sadly this isn't something anything would think of doing until they've been through the hell of a false accusation at least once before.

I've read that it's not illegal to record a conversation between two people if one of those people is aware of the recording. Not in the UK at least.

Faith is right. Recording someone having sex without their consent is against the law. I would be horrified if someone recorded or filmed me having sex without my knowledge. It's called Voyeurism and is rightly illegal.

I can't find the law on audio recording a sexual encounter (not filming) without content. I don't see why it would be any different to the law on recording someone without content, its ok to do as long as at least one of the two people knows the recording is taking place.

A conversation is very different to a sexual encounter.

There's a big difference in recording you having sex with someone (and the other person being aware of it anyway) and you being able to do something with it.

Both parties need to be aware of it, not just you.

I've had some time away for here due to some work issues and thought I would pay a quick visit and hey presto - here we have some pillock saying he's going to record his sexual encounters "with content". I assume he means "with consent".

If I ended up in bed with somebody who asked me the date before we got going I'd be tempted to leave pretty quickly.

"How was it for you?" would also arouse some concerns..........

I certainly wouldn't be thinking about seeing him again.

Somebody who has been falsely accused of a sexual crime is unlikely to be thinking about diving into bed with another woman any time soon in any event. They would be terrified of the same thing happening again.

Protesting too much springs to mind.

I would add, I have audio software, just the same as many people who make music do.
Editing, adding, deleting and distortion are easily done. An audio recording like you're suggesting isn't worth the audio tape it consists of.

yes, being falsely accused of sexual assault just take away any drive to do it with anybody even with your partner you trust. In fact, the falsely accused and the partner would be so depressed about it that doing it is way beyond their thoughts.
