WHAT IF A MAN SUNG THESE LYRICS - PERHAPS ON BBC RADIO!

    Wicked way
    David Saw/Ben Taylor

I just want to take you out and get you drunk so I can have my wicked way with you
I’m just being honest cos I know the other girls are feeling just the same way too
I’m not gonna lie and say that I will take you out to dance, there’s just no chance
I don’t even like the same music you do
I just wanna have my wicked way with you

    Boy…

    Don’t you fight it
Don’t you knock it ‘til you tried it
Show me some skin I might bite it
I wanna have my wicked with you.

Now I’m not gonna come over and meet your mum and dad
They’d know that I was bad
And I don’t want to meet your friends or just pretend I like you
And I don’t want to talk about what happened on your favourite tv show, oh no no
I just want to get you close enough so I can take off all your clothes

    Now…

    Don’t you fight it
Cos I know you’re gonna like it
Show me some skin I might bite it
I wanna have my wicked with you.

Now I don’t wanna break your heart or make you cry boy
    We don’t have the time
I’m just thinking of three hours or more
So I can have my wicked way with you

    Don’t you fight it
Don’t you knock it ‘til you tried it
Show me some skin I might bite it
I wanna have my wicked way
Won’t you let me have my wicked way
I just wanna have my wicked way with you

blerk - a lot of lyrics are like that these days - its hardly I want to Hold Your Hand is it?
And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

      Imagine if during interview...

...the one sat opposite the copper admitted that he said:

"I just want to take you out and get you drunk so I can have my wicked way with you"

      and:

      "Don’t you fight it
Don’t you knock it ‘til you tried it
Show me some skin I might bite it
I wanna have my wicked with you."

They'd throw away the key! And yes - the girl sang this song on Woman's Hour today live. She has a lovely voice but it did make me think...

compared to some 'songs' the lyrics are mild.

How about these from Tinie Tempah?

I just can't stop the feelings
          Don't seem to go away
So if I hurt your feelings
Don't blame it all on me

I just can't stop the feelings
          (Nothing else to say)
And now they're here to stay
So if I hurt your feelings
(Don't take it the wrong way)
          It's just because I'm

          frisky

I think I found a winner, with no ring around her finger
Her dress from All Saints, but I think I've found a sinner
I think her pals are with her, who's that girlfriend? Buy me a liquor
If I told her I'm a boxer, would she let me down and

I wanna pick her up and put her down
She gon' be waking up my neighbors if I bring her 'round
Where I'm from, if you're famous, you don't go to Tinsletown
Pose for a picture, smile, the fashionista's out

They say, "Hey mista, is it cool to take a picture?"
Girl, you better keep your distance, I just wanna have...
I'm on a mission, I don't even wanna kiss her
Honey, I won't even miss ya when I'm done with ya

I just can't stop the feelings
          (Nothing else to say)
          Don't seem to go away
So if I hurt your feelings
(Don't take it the wrong way)
          It's just because I'm

          frisky

Would you risk it for a chocolate biscuit?
Would you risk it for a chocolate biscuit?

Yeah, I'm suspicious, she looks delicious
She likes to talk a lot, that's why I call her Trisha
Her nails are manicured, her hair has been conditioned
Don't worry 'bout her rate, she ain't in no competition

She should be on television or on the radio singing
I would be the first to watch, and I would be the first to listen
I would put her in positions like the mission
From my staircase to her kitchen
Leave her twitchin', twitchin', twitchin', twitchin'

They say, "Hey mista, is it cool to take a picture?"
Girl, you better keep your distance, I just wanna have
I'm on a mission, I don't even wanna kiss her
Honey, I won't even miss ya when I'm done with ya

I just can't stop the feelings
          (Nothing else to say)
          Don't seem to go away
So if I hurt your feelings
(Don't take it the wrong way)
          It's just because I'm

          frisky

          frisky
          frisky

          It's what I'm feeling, yeah
          It's what I'm feeling, yeah
          (Frisky)
          It's what I'm feeling, yeah
          (Frisky)
It's what I'm feeling, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
          (Frisky)

I really don't know what is going on with songs. While I can understand the sentiment of the first one (carnal desire) and can understand that it's about wanting to be with someone that there is no desire or hope of a relationship with I don't really know why there is any need to talk about getting someone drunk. That is just taking advantage and surely isn't what people want to be thinking about when they are listening to music.

I heard Richard Cheese do a cover of a song at a festival and literally had to ask if I was hearing it right. It was the most explicit song I think I have ever heard and it was only about 2pm! It was a song by someone called Khia called "My neck, my back". I will spare you the lyrics.
"I dreamt I went to the doctor's and she gave me eight minutes to live. I'd been sitting in the f**king waiting room half an hour." Sarah Kane (4.48 Psychosis)

              Any more?

We could do this for ever lol.

Yup - song is a powerful tool wielded by big business and offence sells. It's where it's played or performed that counts.

As for the neck song, I agree, wherever it is played it's a wrong 'un.

              Come on - more please?

I can remember buying this in the 1960's - it was banned and had to be bought under the counter http://www.metrolyrics.com/wet-dream...max-romeo.html - I think it should have stayed there!

Yikes RFLH! I just read those lyrics and they are really quite shocking.

I'm in the dark about what a "chocolate biscuit" is....unless it's the hobnob/digestive kind! (although that could also sound wrong.....)

My 11 year old son is a HUGE Tinie Tempah fan. I pointed out to him that the lyrics were degrading and he admitted that he hadn't even thought about the words, he just liked the tune. Hopefully I can help him learn.
