Interesting case as per the title: When I read the other day (the EDP being my local paper) that the defendant was not going into the witness box to be cross examined I thought that would be curtains as the jury would take that to be a sign of guilt (in the same way as giving a no-comment interview) so was very pleased to be proved wrong.
I'd be intrigued to know though if it was his choice or on his barrister's advice....
